Objectives
THE AIM OF THIS COURSE IS TO STIMULATE AND DEVELOP THE LINGUISTIC AWARENESS OF STUDENTS.
PRESENTING THE CONCEPTS, MODELS, BASIC METHODS FOR A MODERN STUDY OF LANGUAGE, THE COURSE HAS AS PRIORITARY OBJECTIVE TO TEACH STUDENTS
THE FOUNDATIONS OF LANGUAGE, WHAT IS A LANGUAGE, HOW IT IS ORGANIZED AND WHAT ARE THE CONTACT AND DIFFERENCE POINTS BETWEEN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. STUDENTS SHULD BE ABLE TO MAKE A COMPARISON OF DATA BELONGING TO DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE FOREIGN LANGUAGES STUDIED, CONSIDERING COMMON ELEMENTS AND THOSE THAT MAKE THEM DIFFERENT. FOR THIS REASON STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT MANY
ESERCITATIVE ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE NECESSARY TO BECAME AWARE OF TECHNICAL RUDIMENTS FOR THE ANALYSIS AND DESCRIPTION OF LANGUAGES AT DIFFERENT LEVELS: PHONETIC, PHONOLOGICAL, MORPHOLOGICAL, SYNTACTIC,
SEMANTIC.
