Objectives
TARGETS:
THE COURSE AIMS TO ILLUSTRATE THE SPECIFIC ASPECTS OF THE PROCESS INDUSTRY WITH REGARD TO THE OPERATION OF THE PRODUCTION PLANTS AND THEIR UTILITIES USE, AND THE APPROPRIATE MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES. THE MAIN ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY REGULATIONS ARE DISCUSSED.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
UNDERSTANDING OF HEAT AND MATERIAL BALANCE CONCEPTS AND UTILIZATION TECHNIQUES IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OPERATION IN THE PLANTS.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT:
KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY THE TERMS OF GREATER TECHNCAL IMPACT, ECONOMIC AND SAFETY IN A PROCESS PLANT.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
KNOWING HOW TO EXPOSE CLEARLY AND TECHNICALLY CORRECTLY ARGUMENTS RELATED TO THE OPERATION IN A PROCESS PLANTS. KNOWING HOW TO READ A PROCESS DIAGRAM.

LEARNING ABILITY:
KNOWING HOW TO APPLY THE COMPETENCES ACQUIRED IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE TREATED IN THE COURSE.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE PROVIDES ABOUT 70% OF CONVENTIONAL EDUCATION IN THE CLASSROOM WHEN 30% IS INTENDED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND DISCUSSION OF PROBLEMS OF INTEREST IN THE APPLICATION.
Verification of learning
STUDENT EVALUATION IS ACHIEVED THROUGH AN INTERVIEW IN WHICH WE WILL CHECK:
THE ABILITY TO SET MATERIAL BALANCES ON PROCESS EQUIPMENT
THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE SAFETY PROBLEMS ON EQUIPMENT AND ON PROCESS PLANTS
THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND ACTIVITY PLAN
THE FIRST PHASE OF THE EXAMINATION PROVIDES THE RESOLUTION OF AN APPLICATIVE PROBLEM.
THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE SOLUTION METHOD CONSTITUTES THE ELEMENT TO EVALUATE THE PREPARATION AS SUFFICIENT
KNOWLEDGE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY ASPECTS AND THE TECHNIQUE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT WITH THE ATTENTION TO TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING, THE SYNTHESIS CAPACITY AND THE PROPERTY OF TERMINOLOGY ARE EVALUATED.
THE STUDENT WHICH IS CORRECTLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM AND PROPOSES A CLEAR AND CORRECT EXPOSURE OF OTHER REQUIRED TOPICS IS EVALUATED AS EXCELLENT.
