THE TEACHING PROVIDES BASIC NOTIONS IN THE FIELD OF ORGANIZATION THEORY AND INTRODUCES TO THE CORNERSTONES OF ORGANIZATION DESIGN AND STRUCTURING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES RELY ON THE MAIN TENETS OF CONTINGENCY THEORY, WHICH ASSUMES THAT ORGANIZATIONAL ISSUES SHOULD BE CONTEXTUALIZED TO THE SPECIFIC PECULIARITIES OF THEIR ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT. APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL ACHIEVE THE REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO APPRECIATE AND UNDERSTAND ORGANIZATIONAL PHENOMENA IN EMPIRICAL ENVIRONMENTS, IN AN ATTEMPT TO ALLOW STUDENTS TO EARN THE EXPERTISE AND THE ABILITY TO MANAGE IN PRACTICAL TERMS ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE EVENTS. |

THE TEACHING IS DIVIDED INTO 3 MODULES: "INDIVIDUAL", "GROUP" AND "ORGANIZATION". MODULE 1. INDIVIDUAL (20 HOURS) - PERSONALITY AND VALUES: LECTURES 2 HOURS - IDENTITY: LESSONS 2 HOURS - EMOTIONS AND STRESS: LECTURES 2 HOURS, EXERCISES 1 HOUR - MOTIVATION AT WORK: LECTURES 4 HOURS, EXERCISES 2 HOURS - DECISIONS: LECTURES 2 HOURS, EXERCISES 2 HOURS - LEARNING AND TRAINING: LECTURES 2 HOURS, EXERCISES 1 HOUR MODULE 2. GROUP (20 HOURS) - TEAMWORK: LECTURES 2 HOURS, EXERCISES 2 HOURS - COMMUNICATION: LECTURES 2 HOURS - POWER: LECTURES 3 HOURS, EXERCISES 2 HOURS - CONFLICT AND NEGOTIATION: LECTURES 2 HOURS - LEADERSHIP: LECTURES 4 HOURS, EXERCISES 2 HOURS - SOCIAL NETWORKS AND NETWORKING: LECTURES 1 HOUR MODULE 3. A MIXED APPROACH WILL BE USED TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT TEACHING ACTIVITIES. BEYOND THEORETICAL SESSIONS, WHICH WILL BE BASED ON THE SEMINAR APPROACH, INTERACTIVE LEARNING AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES WILL BE REALIZED. FROM THIS POINT OF VIEW, STUDENTS WILL BE CONSTANTLY CALLED TO BE INVOLVED IN WORKING GROUPS, TO WHICH SPECIFIC STUDY AND ANALYSIS TASKS WILL BE ATTACHED. THESE ACTIVITIES WILL BE DULY CONTEMPLATED IN EVALUATING OVERALL STUDENTS’ PERFORMANCES. THEREFORE, THE TEACHING WILL INCLUDE FRONTAL LESSONS, CASE STUDIES, IN-BASKET SESSIONS, ROLE-PLAYING AND PROBLEM SOLVING LEARNING. |
Verification of learning | |

THE VERIFICATION OF LEARNING WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGH A WRITTEN TEST (LASTING ONE HOUR), WHICH WILL INCLUDE 5 OPEN QUESTIONS (4 GENERAL AND 1 BASED ON A CASE STUDY). EACH OPEN RESPONSE TO GENERIC QUESTIONS WILL BE EVALUATED FROM A MINIMUM OF 0 TO A MAXIMUM OF 5, WHILE QUESTION 5 BASED ON THE CASE STUDY WILL BE EVALUATED FROM A MINIMUM OF 0 TO A MAXIMUM OF 10, IN LIGHT OF THE CANDIDATE'S ABILITY TO ARGUE. STUDENTS WILL BE OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPLEMENT THE WRITTEN TEST WITH AN ORAL EXAMINATION. THE LATTER WILL CONSIST OF 3 QUESTIONS (TWO GENERAL AND UNE SPECIFIC QUESTIONS). |
