• KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF PHARMACOLOGY ACQUIRING THE CONCEPT OF DRUG AS A MEANS FOR THE STUDY OF CELLULAR FUNCTION THROUGH ITS INTERACTION WITH THE MOLECULAR TARGET. ALSO ACQUIRE THE KNOWLEDGE ON DRUG DEVELOPMENT AND ON THE EFFECTS AND MECHANISMS OF ACTION OF DIFFERENT CLASSES OF DRUGS SUCH AS, FOR EXAMPLE, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AND CHEMIOTERAPIC DRUGS. • APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE COURSE PROVIDES THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF PHARMACOLOGY IN THE BIO-ACTIVE COMPOUNDS USED IN THERAPY. • MAKING JUDGMENTS: THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN PRACTICE. THE KNOWLEDGE IMPARTED WILL COLLECT INFORMATION USEFUL IN THE CRITICAL EVALUATION OF THE EVOLUTION OF DRUG THERAPY AND ITS RELATION TO THE PROFESSION OF BIOLOGIST. • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: THE ABILITY TO CLEARLY COMMUNICATE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND JUDGMENT BOTH TO A SPECIALIST AND NOT OF ANY GRADE. • LEARNING SKILLS: THE OBTAINED KNOWLEDGE WILL BE A SOLID AND BROAD CULTURAL BASE TO ALLOW, ALSO MAKING USE OF ELECTRONIC DATABASES, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL, A CONTINUOUS UPDATE NEED TO PRACTICE THE PROFESSION. |
