Alessandro NADDEO Curriculum

He was born in Salerno on 1975. Degree cum laude in Mechanical Engineering on 1999 at University of Salerno with degree thesis on Design Methods developed in Elasis S.c.p.A. Research Center; he won a thesis grant given by ATA (Technical Automotive Association). From 1999 to 2001 he work with Design Methods research group of Univeristy of Salerno. In 2000 he won a research grant for "optimization in mechanical design using non-stadard logics" research topic. From 2001 to 2002 he works at Elasis S.c.p.A. research center, employed in Product development Methodologies group. Between 2001 and 2004 he developed his research activities in Italy and abroad on: Vehicle Experimental analysis: Delft (Olanda) - TNO Research Center - Febbraio 2002 e Febbraio 2004; Detroit (U.S.A.) - FIAT R/D- Marzo 2002; Ispra (Italia) -JRC- Joint Research Center - Settembre 2002. Modellazione CAD e FEM Simulation using explicit codes: Heidelberg (Germania) - ESI EuroPam- Ottobre 2001; Pomigliano d'Arco (Italia) - Elasis - Paul du Bois Course - Maggio 2002. Since 2002 he was Assistant Professor at University of Salerno in Industrial Design Methods (Italian youngest Professor in his scientific discipline). On December 2017 he has been awarded the Degree of Doctor (PhD) at Technical University of Delft (The Netherlands) discussing a Thesis whose title is “Towards predicting the (dis)comfort performances by modelling: methods and findings”. Since 2018 he is Associate Professor of Industrial Design Methods At Dept. of Industrial Engiineering of University of Salerno (Italy). Chairman in several International Conferences and Editor for World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, Orlando, U.S.A; Reviewer for International Conferences and Scientific Journals. prof. Naddeo is author of more than 100 papers in national/international Conferences and in international journals. Some papers have been selected to be published like scientific book chapters. Since 2002 he holds the chair of several Design Methods Courses for Mechanical, Chemical, Managing and Architecture Engineering; he was supervisor/assistant supervisor for more than 100 BD, MD and PhD thesis. His research activity is focused on Virtual prototyping and Industrial Engineering Methods Development for application on Industrial Design and optimization. Research activities are focused also on Representation instruments, Modeling and Simulation techniques for product/process innovation; those instruments/techniques have been applied on Biomechanics, Ergonomic, HMI application. Since 2020 he has the National Academic Qualification as Full Professor for Scientific Area 09/A3 - Industrial Design, Mechanical Design and Metallurgy --- SubArea ING-IND/15 - Industrial Design Methods.
