| The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic principles of qualitative analytical chemistry and furnish them the basis for practical application. The student will be able to understand the methods described in the European Pharmacopoeia and apply them in laboratory practice. Moreover, the student will be able to acquire theoretical and practical knowhow in the field of Instrumental analysis. At the end of the course, the student will be able to manage the physical and chemical properties of molecules of pharmaceutical interest, to succeed in the practical identification of the functional groups of organic molecules and in the identification of inorganic compounds. Moreover, the student will achieve the ability to determine the analytical profile of drugs reported in the European Pharmacopoeia. |
