THE OBJECTIVE OF THE TEACHING IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF NEEDS IN SOCIAL CONTEXTS THROUGH A SERIES OF ELEMENTS OF A THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL NATURE AIMED AT THE ACQUISITION OF USEFUL TOOLS TO FACE THE NEW CHALLENGES THAT THE COMPLEX WORLD OF WELFARE POSES TO SOCIAL PLANNING. AS PART OF THE TEACHING ACTIVITIES, THE PROCESSES, METHODS AND STRATEGIES OF EVALUATION DESIGN AND RESEARCH WILL BE ILLUSTRATED, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE PURPOSES OF EVALUATION AND ITS USE IN SOCIAL POLICIES |

AS PART OF THE TEACHING ACTIVITIES, THE PROCESSES, METHODS AND STRATEGIES OF EVALUATION DESIGN AND RESEARCH WILL BE EXPLAINED, WITH A FOCUS ON THE PURPOSES OF EVALUATION AND ITS USE IN SOCIAL POLICY. SPECIFICALLY, THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL BE COVERED: THE EVOLUTIONARY PATH OF SOCIAL POLICIES THE NEW FRONTIERS OF SOCIAL POLICIES IN THE NEW WELFARE; NEEDS ANALYSIS IN TERRITORIAL SOCIAL CONTEXTS THE MAIN APPROACHES, TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS FOR PROGRAMMING AND PLANNING; EVALUATION IN THE SOCIAL FIELD, INTEGRATION BETWEEN EVALUATION AND PLANNING TECHNIQUES FOR MONITORING AND EVALUATING THE SOCIAL IMPACT OF VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND EMPIRICAL PRACTICE |
