THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE ARE: TO IDENTIFY THE BODY AND ITS REPRESENTATIONS AS PRIVILEGED OBJECT FOR THE STUDY OF THE SOCIAL RELATIONS, ISTITUTIONS AND POLITICAL-ECONOMIC FORMATIONS TO UNDERSTAND THE POLYSEMY OF THE BODY IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SPHERE. TO ACQUIRE THE BASIC THEORETICAL TOOLS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF THE SOCIAL BODY TO BE ABLE APPLY THE CONCEPTS AND THE THEORIES IN VARIOUS FIELDS OF RESEARCH TO BE ABLE TO EXPRESS ONE'S OWN OPINION BY USING EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIVE STRATEGIES AND ADEGUATE CRITERIA OF ORGANIZATION OF THE DISCOURSE |

THE COURSE ANALYZES THE IMAGES AND REPRESENTATIONS OF THE BODY, HIGHLIGHTING ITS SYMBOLIC AND COMMUNICATIVE ASPECTS IN VARIOUS SPHERES OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LIFE (THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, SEXUALITY, ART AND FASHION). IN THE SECOND PART OF THE COURSE, THE BODY WILL BE INTERPRETATED AS POINT OF ORIGIN OF KNOWLEDGE AND INSTITUTIONS, PLACE OF CONFLICT FOR THE HEGEMONY AND THE CONTROL OF THE HUMANITY. |
