THE MAIN SKILLS (I.E. THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE) WILL BE: • ANALYZING SIMPLE MECHANICAL AND KINEMATIC PHYSICAL SYSTEMS DETERMINING THE MOTION; ANALYSIS OF PHYSICAL SYSTEMS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF ENERGY; ANALYSIS AND SOLUTION OF THERMODYNAMIC SYSTEMS WITH DETERMINATION OF THE PERFORMANCE OF CYCLES OF ELEMENTARY THERMAL MACHINES. • RESOLUTION OF SYSTEMS OF LINEAR EQUATIONS RELATED TO THE RESOLUTION OF PHYSICAL AND/OR CHEMICAL PROBLEMS; RESOLUTION OF SIMPLE BUT RECURRENT INTEGRALS IN THE STUDY OF SCIENCES; CALCULATION OF DERIVATIVES; CALCULATION OF MATRIX DETERMINANTS AND OPERATIONS WITH THE SAME. |

THE TEACHING IS ARTICULATED IN TWO MODULES AND PROVIDES 72 HOURS OF ASSISTED TEACHING (9 CFU) DIVIDED BETWEEN HOURS OF TEACHING IN THE FORM OF LESSONS AND HOURS OF EXERCISES. 48 HOURS (6 CFU) ARE OCCUPIED BY THE TEACHING PHYSICS MODULE, AND 24 HOURS (3 CFU) FROM THE MATH MODULE. IN THE PHYSICS MODULE, TWO THIRDS OF THE LECTURE HOURS ARE THEORETICAL FRONTAL TYPE AND A THIRD AS HOURS OF EXERCISES (WITH A LEARNING-BY-DOING APPROACH) ON THE CONCEPTS DEFINED IN THE THEORETICAL LESSONS IN THE MATH MODULE, TWO THIRDS OF THE HOURS ARE DELIVERED AS THEORETICAL FRONTAL LESSONS AND A THIRD AS HOURS OF EXERCISES (WITH A LEARNING-BY-DOING APPROACH) ON THE CONCEPTS DEFINED IN THE THEORETICAL LESSONS |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TEACHING IS CERTIFIED BY THE PASSING OF AN EXAMINATION WITH EVALUATION IN THIRTIETHS. THE VERIFICATION INCLUDES, FOR EACH MODULE, A WRITTEN TEST PASSED WHICH THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE AN ORAL TEST WHICH IS PLACED ON A DAY OTHER THAN THAT OF THE WRITTEN TEST. FOR EACH MODULE, THE WRITTEN TEST, DURING 2 HOURS, CONSISTS OF A MULTIPLE ANSWER TEST THAT PROVIDES THE RESOLUTION OF EXERCISES AND PROBLEMS ON TOPICS OF THE TEACHING PROGRAM. THE PROPOSED EXERCISES ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE RESOLVED DURING THE LESSON / EXERCISE HOURS. EACH WRITTEN TEST IS CARRIED OUT BEFORE THE ORAL TEST AND IS CONSIDERED PASSED WITH THE REACHING OF THE ESTABLISHED MINIMUM SCORE. THE PURPOSE OF THE TEST IS TO VERIFY: THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND PROBLEMS PROPOSED DURING THE COURSE, THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY APPLY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE ABILITY TO FORMULATE THE APPROPRIATE APPROACH TO THE SOLUTION OF THE PROPOSED PROBLEMS. DURING THE TEST IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO CONSULT NOTES, PHOTOCOPIES AND/OR TEXTS DOWNLOADED FROM THE INTERNET; IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO USE PC OR SMART PHONE; IT IS PERMITTED TO USE THE SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR AND CONSULT THE TEXT BOOK ONLY. EACH ORAL EXAM CONSISTS IN A DISCUSSION OF DURATION NOT EXCEEDING ABOUT 30 MINUTES, AIMED TO ENSURE: • THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF THEORETICAL CONTENTS (AND APPLICATIONS, IN THE CASE OF ERRORS PRESENT IN THE WRITTEN TEST OR OF SIGNIFICANT UNRESOLVED EXERCISES) • THE LEVEL OF COMPETENCE ACHIEVED IN THE EXHIBITION: LANGUAGE PROPERTIES, LOGICAL-DEDUCTIVE AND SYNTHESIS CAPACITY, ABILITY TO ARGUE, AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT IN PROPOSING THE MOST APPROPRIATE APPROACH TO ARGUING WHAT IS REQUIRED. THE FINAL VOTE GETS FROM THE RESULT OF THE ORAL TESTS ONLY AND CONSTITUTES A WEIGHTED AVERAGE. THE MINIMUM RATING TO PASS THE EXAM IS 18/30. LAUDATION CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS WHO REACH THE MAXIMUM RATING OF 30/30 AND DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO APPLY THEIR OWN KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACQUIRED EVEN IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS THAN THOSE OFFERED IN CLASS. |
