Alfredo RUBINO Curriculum

Alfredo RUBINO is associate professor of Electronics at the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Salerno. Courses taught: “Fundamentals of Electronics”  and  “Technologies for the Micro and Nano Electronics”

Alfredo Rubino has worked chiefly in the field of  electronic devices and materials, being, above all, involved in development and implementation of thin film solar cells, where he contributed to achieve European efficiency record in tandem device; subsequently he has taken interest in thermo-optical modulators for telecommunication applications, realizing an amorphous silicon thermo-optical modulator for the first time; then he has been  interested in development of innovative technologies for implementation of thin film transistors on non conventional substrates (glass and plastics); today he works in the field of organic electronics, particularly concerning the fabrication technology and developing of innovative devices ( OLED, memory cells, OTFT)
He was in charge the responsibility of projects with National and International industries in electronic field like STMicroelectronics.

Actually he is in charge of the following projects:

  • Research Project ReLight  on the development of innovative application of OLEDs and Organic Photovoltaic Devices
  • Research Project SmarTags  on the development of active RFIDs
