Domenico MADDALONI Curriculum
Born in 1960, I have a degree in Sociology (University of Naples "Federico II", 1984) and a Ph. D. in Development Sociology (University of Pisa, 1992).
From 1997 to 2004 I worked as researcher for the Istituto di ricerche sulle dinamiche della sicurezza sociale (IRiDiSS; from 2002 onwards, Istituto di ricerche sulla popolazione e le politiche sociali - IRPPS) of the Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR).
From 2005 I am working as Associate Professor at the Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche, Sociali e della Comunicazione, University of Salerno.
As a social scientist, I am mainly interested in: Social Theory; Social Change and Development, with special reference to Globalization and MIgrations; Inequalities and Welfare, with special reference to Labour Market and Education Policies.
I authored or edited several scientific publication on the topics above mentioned. Some of my works have been published in main Italian sociological journals, such as Quaderni di Sociologia or Sociologia e Ricerca Sociale. I took part to several editions of the Rapporto IRiDiSS (from 2002, IRPPS) sullo Stato sociale in Italia. Some of my works have been published in English and in Spanish.
