Objectives
The course aims to give basic knowledges about the main processes applied in the industrial transformations of raw materials by understanding the physical principles, and the main commonly equipment used to develop operations of heat exchange and of simultaneous heat and mass transfer.
The student, by applying the acquired skills, will be able to identify the relevant process stages of the most common industrial transformations of the pharmaceutical industry, and to know the most suitable type of equipment to develop the desired transformations
Prerequisites
BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS REQUIRED TOO.

THE LEARNING ASSESSMENT PROCESS REQUIRES AN ORAL TEST. THE AVERAGE DURATION STARTS FROM 20 MINUTES (IF THE ANSWERS ARE GIVEN RAPIDLY AND CORRECTLY), UP TO 30 MINUTES IF THE CANDIDATE IS NOT SURE IN HIS/HER ANSWERS AND TAKES TIME TO GIVE THE ANSWERS.
THE SUFFICIENCY IS ACHIEVED IF THE CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES THE CAPABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE FUNDAMENTAL ASPECTS OF THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE TEACHING PROGRAM (PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES, CONSTRUCTIVE ASPECTS, FIELDS OF APPLICATION).
THE EXCELLENCE IS OBTAINED WHEN THE CANDIDATE IS ABLE TO FACE OUT SUCCESSFULLY EVEN ASPECTS OF THE TOPIC NOT ANALYZED DURING THE COURSE.
THE OVERALL EVALUATION DEPENDS FROM THE LEVEL OF EXPOSITION AND FROM THE CONFIDENCE SHOWN WITH THE TEACHING’S TOPICS.
