TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE ON: - SOIL-PLANT INTERACTIONS AIMED AT THE POSSIBILITY OF USING PLANTS AND RHIZOSPHERE MICROORGANISMS FOR THE DECONTAMINATION OF SOIL, WATER AND AIR. - BASIC CONCEPTS ON THE BIODIVERSITY OF LIVING ORGANISMS LINKED TO EVOLUTIONARY PROCESSES, TO ENSURE THAT THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO ELABORATE AND APPLY IDEAS IN A CONTEXT OF THE RESEARCH TIGHTLY ASSOCIATED TO PHYTOREMEDIATION AND TO BIODIVERSITY OF LIVING BEINGS. TO SOLVE PROBLEMS RELATED TO ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION OF SOIL, WATER AND AIR CONSIDERING THE INTEGRATION OF MULTIFACTORIAL AND INTERDISCIPLINARY SKILLS RELATIVELY TO BIODIVERSITY AND PHYTOREMEDIATION. INTEGRATING KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSE OF APPLIED BIOLOGY AND BIODIVERSITY WITH THOSE OF PREVIOUS REFERRED TO VARIOUS AREAS OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO MANAGE THE COMPLEXITY OF THE ISSUES INVOLVED AND GIVE ADEQUATE SOLUTIONS EVEN IN SOME CASES CONSIDERING PARTIAL AND INCOMPLETE DATA. STUDENTS MUST BE IN A POSITION, AT THE END OF THE COURSE, OF DRAWING CONCLUSIONS AND GIVING POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS PRESENTED THEM ON THE BASIS OF THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AND DEVELOPED, POSSIBLY IN AUTONOMY, AND THEN TO COMMUNICATE TO SPECIALISTS AND NOT.
