Objectives
THE CLASS AIMS TO GIVE THE NECESSARY CRITICAL TOOLS TO UNDERSTAND TEXTS AND SUBJECTS POURPOSED:
1. GENESIS AND STRUCTURE OF THE JACQUES DERRIDA'S THEORY OF IMAGE IN ITS PHILOSOPHICAL GROUD.
2. THE STUDENT WILL IMPLEMENT THE GAINED KNOWLEDGE TO MOVIES PROPOSED DURING THE CLASS.
3. E 4.: THE STUDENT WILL BE INVITED TO ELABORATE A PERSONAL OUTLOOK ABOUT THE THEMES PROPOSED DURING THE CLASS AND TO COMMUNICATE IT IN CONFRONT OF THE OTHER STUDENTS.
5. TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO CONFRONT THEORY AND EMPIRICAL CASES

THE CLASS IS DEVOTED TO THE DECONSTRUCTION OF THE THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE IMAGE IN THE WETERN CULTURE. IN PARTICULAR, THE CLASS, THROUGHOUT THE DERRIDA'S READING OF THE SELF-PORTRAIT, FOCUS ON THE ROLE PLAYED BY THE IMAGE IN THE SUBJECT'S CONSTITUTION.
Teaching Methods
THE CLASS AIMS TO GIVE THE NECESSARY CRITICAL TOOLS TO UNDERSTAND TEXTS AND SUBJECTS POURPOSED, SUPPORTED BY A MULTIMEDIA ARCHIVE TO CONFRONT TEXTUAL AND VISUAL SOURCES IN THE DECONSTRUCTION OF THE IMAGE.
