Empirical and theoretical research in international trade with a focus on the impact of trade liberalisation between EU and Eastern European countries, monitoring of quality upgrading and implication of integration for national and regional labour markets. Trade liberalisation impact on firm delocalisation and on fragmentation of production: underlying determinants such as differentials in comparative advantage and in factor and skill content between firms and between national specialisation models. Current applied research on the impact of trade and investment liberalisation within the euro-Mediterranean partnership;impact of multinational activity and exporting on firm survival and growth; firm dynamics.
