Curriculum Docente

Maria Russolillo is Full Professor of Mathematical methods of Economics, Finance and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Salerno. She is Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Actuarial Science and Insurance, Cass Business School, City University, London (UK). She received her BSc. in Economics, MPhil in Economics and Finance, and PhD in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from University of Naples “Federico II” (Italy). Maria teaches in both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses, the following disciplines: Mathematics for Economics and financial mathematics, Quantitative Analysis of Financial Risk, Financial Choices and Investments, Actuarial and Financial Mathematics. Her research interests include:

analysis and measurement of mortality dynamics and forecasting and their applications in pension research;

predictive modelling and data analytics of mortality, longevity and investment risks;

simulation methods to allow for dependency and application of principal component techniques to mortality models.

She has published numerous papers in various International Journals and has been the scientific coordinator of many financed research projects. She has been a member of the Programme Committee and Scientific Committee of National and International Conferences. She serves as a member of the Editorial Board for Quantitative Finance and Economics Journal and as referee for many scientific Journals.
