THE COURSE AIMS AT DEVELOP THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN ISSUE OF THE CONTEMPORARY INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY, WITH THE FOCUS ON THE XX CENTURY AND ITS CONTROVERSIAL HISTORICAL DYNAMICS, THAT HAVE SHAPED THE GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY. MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE DEVELOPMENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AMONG NATION STATES WILL BE EXAMINED PRESENTING THE FOLLOWING FEATURES: THEY HAD A CENTRAL ROLE IN THE POLITICAL AND HISTORICAL PROCESSES OF THE XX CENTURY AS WELL AS THEY REPRESENT THE BASIS FOR UNDERSTANDING THE MOST RECENT POLITICAL AND DIPLOMATIC DYNAMICS. THE COURSE AIMS TO DEVELOP THE UNDERSTANDING OF HISTORICAL EVENTS AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN A DYACRONIC AS WELL AS A SYNCRONIC LOGIC, AND TO FAVOR A CRITICAL ANALYSIS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENTS WILL BE CAPABLE OF EXERTING THE CRITICAL ATTITUDE TO DEVELOP AN EFFECTIVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE COMPLEXITY OF THE HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS WITH A GLOBAL AND SYSTEMIC APPROACH. A SPECIAL FOCUS WILL BE UNDERLINING THE THEMES OF COLLECTIVE SECURITY, GLOBAL INSECURITY AND THE MOST RECENT CHALLENGES OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY THROUGH NEW POLICY FRAMEWORKS SUCH AS THE CYBERSECURITY. |

THE COURSE DEALS WITH THE ORIGIN AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF STATE NATION, THE WAR EVENTS THAT CHARACTERIZE THE XX CENTURY, THE TOTALITARIAN SYSTEM AND THEIR DEFEAT, THE NEW WORLD ORDER AFTER THE II WAR WORLD, THE DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM, THE PROBLEM OF THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD (THE DEFEAT OF USSR, THE GLOBALIZATION, THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE EU). A SPECIAL PART IS FOCUSED ON THE CYBERSECURITY IN ITS BROADER AND MORE INNOVATIVE ASPECTS. ALTERNATIVELY ARE PROPOSED TWO CASES OF STUDY ON CYBERNETIC SECUTIRY: THE ITALIAN AND THE CHINESE ONE. |
