Objectives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE.
THE COURSE AIMS TO ENABLE THE LEARNING OF SKILLS AND AUTONOMOUS ABILITY TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS IN THE CONSTRUCTION SITE AREA IN ORDER TO ACQUAINT LEARNERS WITH THE BASICS RELATED TO THE ASPECTS OF QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY AND SCHEDULING OF WORKS, APPROPRIATELY CONTEXTUALIZED WITH CONSTRUCTION SITE TECHNIQUE. THE COURSE PROVIDES THE REGULATORY, THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE INHERENT TO THE ORGANIZATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE, OF BUILDING, CIVIL AND INFRASTRUCTURAL WORKS, WITH REGARD TO THE ASPECTS OF THE QUALITY OF THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT AND THE METHODS OF CONTROL OF THE WORKS AND THE MATERIALS USED, AS WELL AS INFORMATION ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY, WITH PARTICULAR FOCUS ON ISSUES RELATED TO THE REUSE OF DEMOLITION AND/OR WASTE MATERIALS IN THE AREA OF ECO-SUSTAINABILITY AND CAM.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING SKILLS
THROUGH THE TEACHING, THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE THE SKILLS RELATED TO: PROCUREMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DESIGN PHASES, EXECUTION AND TESTING OF PUBLIC WORKS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VARIOUS PROFESSIONALS IN THE PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION SITE UNDER THE NEW CONTRACTS CODE (LEGISLATIVE DECREE 36/2023). GUIDANCE ON HOW TO CONTROL WORKS ACCORDING TO THE MANAGEMENT MODEL ( ISO 9001, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001), WITH APPLICATION OF CONTROL PLANS, SITE SURVEY SHEETS, ACCEPTANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS AND APPLICATION OF NON-ACCEPTANCE PATHS BASED ON THE USE OF THE NONCONFORMITY PROCEDURE. EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND OPERATIONAL PROCESSES AND RELATED TECHNICAL AND CONSTRUCTION CONTROL OF WORKS OF ART (BRIDGES, TUNNELS, RETAINING WALLS, ROAD EMBANKMENTS, TRENCHES, CEMENT AND BITUMINOUS MIXES AND THEIR PRODUCTION). PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT OF STRUCTURE VERIFICATIONS AND TESTING OPERATIONS.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DEVELOP DOCUMENTS RELATED TO QUALITY CONTROL PLANS, OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AND CONTROL SHEETS, KNOW HOW TO MANAGE AND EXECUTE A TEST PLAN. ELABORATE AND MANAGE SAFETY DOCUMENTS (SOP, PSC, DUVRI, ETC.), IN RELATION TO THE SPECIFICS OF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE AND IN RELATION TO THE DIFFERENT INTERFERENCE REGIMES. PLANNING SITE ACTIVITIES (PERT, GANTT, ETC.).
AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS IN RELATION TO THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION SITE AND THE COMPLEXITY OF THE WORK OR KNOW HOW TO MANAGE COMPLEX CONTROL ACTIVITIES WITH THE HELP OF DEDICATED PROCEDURES.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE ADEQUATE WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND TOOLS AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANALYZE, PROPOSE AND CRITICALLY DISCUSS THEIR DESIGN CHOICES.
LEARNING SKILLS
THE STUDENT SHOULD DEVELOP INDEPENDENT LEARNING SKILLS AND IN-DEPTH STUDY OF ASPECTS RELATED TO ISSUES RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION SITE SAFETY, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO WORK ACTIVITIES AND DIFFERENT INTERFERENCE REGIMES. ALSO WITH A VIEW TO UPDATING THE DISCIPLINE WITH REFERENCE TO REGULATORY AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS.

Teaching Methods
DURING THE COURSE, THERE WILL BE APPLIED LECTURES AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS IN THE LABORATORY AND ON SITE (CORRESPONDING TO ABOUT 5 CFU), SEMINAR-TYPE ACTIVITIES (CORRESPONDING TO ABOUT 5 CFU), AND SITE/LABORATORY VISITS (ABOUT 2 CFU). ATTENDANCE IS NOT MANDATORY, BUT ASSIDUOUS PARTICIPATION IN THE COURSE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Verification of learning
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SET OBJECTIVES WILL TAKE THE FORM OF AN ORAL INTERVIEW, LASTING APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR, WHICH EACH STUDENT MAY TAKE FROM THE END OF THE COURSE. THE GRADE ACHIEVED WILL DEPEND ON THE MATURITY ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENT AND WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE QUALITY OF THE ORAL EXPOSITION, KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISCIPLINE, THE ABILITY TO RESOLVE THE MAIN APPLICATION ISSUES AND THE LEVEL OF IN-DEPTH STUDY OF A PAPER CONCERNING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SAFETY AND COORDINATION PLAN, ON AN ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT CHOSEN BY THE STUDENT.
IN PARTICULAR, THE TEST, LASTING ABOUT 1 HOUR, WILL FOCUS ON THE DISCUSSION OF THE YEAR'S THEME PAPER, AND WILL BE AIMED AT ASCERTAINING THE ABILITY TO APPROACH THE ANALYSIS AND RESOLUTION OF ORGANIZATIONAL, LOGISTICAL ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE SCENARIOS
