Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE AN OVERALL VISION OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.
THE STUDENT:
- WILL ACQUIRE THE BASIC NOTIONS OF HOW BUSINESSES WORK;
- WILL KNOW THE BASIC NOTIONS OF STRATEGIC ANALYSIS
- WILL DELVE INTO SPECIFIC ISSUES REGARDING SOME MANAGEMENT AREAS SUCH AS: ORGANISATION, MARKETING, FINANCE, PRODUCTION, CONTROL
- WILL KNOW SOME BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES WHICH CONCERN: THE EVALUATION OF ECONOMIC-STRUCTURAL POTENTIAL, THE EVALUATION OF INVESTMENTS, THE MANAGEMENT OF INVENTORIES
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- DISCUSS A STRATEGIC PLAN
- EVALUATE AN ORGANIZATIONAL MODEL
- EVALUATE MARKETING POLICIES;
- APPLY SOME MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES

THE COURSE ANALYSES:

1) ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT (16 HOURS)
- ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
- ENTREPRENEURIAL STRATEGIC POSTURE
- SUSTAINABILITY AND ENTREPRNEURSHIP
- BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT.

2) STRATEGIC PLANNING (22 HOURS)

3) ORGANIZATION, FINANCE, MARKETING, OPERATIONS (24 HOURS)
- MARKETING MANAGEMENT.
- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT.
- OPERATION MANAGEMENT AND LOGISTICS.
- ORGANIZATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.
- FINANCIAL TECHNIQUES OF INVESTMENTS CHOICE.
- PERFORMANCE EVALUATION.

4) SKILLS DEVELOPMENT (10 HOURS)
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS ORGANIZED INTO A SINGLE MODULE AND WILL BE CARRIED OUT THROUGH LECTURES (72 HOURS). CERTAIN EXERCISES OR SPECIALIST SEMINARS MAY BE PROVIDED AS PART OF THE LECTURES. THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO ATTEND EVEN IF ATTENDANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO ACHIEVE THE TRAINING OBJECTIVE.
Verification of learning
THE LEARNING VERIFICATION WILL BE CARRIED OUT AT THE END OF THE COURSE WITH FINAL EXAM. THE FINAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS.
THE FINAL EXAM INCLUDES A WRITTEN TEST FOLLOWED BY AN ORAL TEST. BOTH TESTS WILL FOCUS ON THE VERIFICATION OF THEORETICAL AND APPLICATIONAL KNOWLEDGE REGARDING BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. BOTH THE WRITTEN TEST AND THE POSSIBLE ORAL TEST HAVE THE OBJECTIVE OF VERIFYING THE THEORETICAL AND APPLICATIONAL KNOWLEDGE RELATED TO THE EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE AND THEREFORE ARE FOCUSED ON THE CONTENTS OF THE ENTIRE COURSE.
THE WRITTEN TEST CONSISTS OF A TEST INCLUDED IN A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS BETWEEN 15 AND 30 QUESTIONS WHICH CAN BE EITHER CLOSED OR OPEN ANS. ONE POINT IS ASSIGNED FOR EACH CORRECT ANSWER FOR CLOSED-END QUESTIONS. FOR OPEN-END QUESTIONS, A SCORE BETWEEN 1 AND 5 POINTS WILL BE ASSIGNED. THE WRITTEN TEST IS CONSIDERED PASSED IF THE SUM OF THE SCORES ACHIEVED IS AT LEAST EQUAL TO 18. IT IS POSSIBLE TO ACCESS THE ORAL TEST ON REQUEST FOLLOWING THE PASSING OF THE WRITTEN TEST WITH A SCORE OF 18. THE ORAL TEST IS POSSIBLE AND IS FUNCTIONAL TO ASSESS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STUDENT'S KNOWLEDGE.
THE MAXIMUM MARK IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY EXPLAIN AND DISCUSS ALL ISSUES RELATING TO BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.
