Objectives
ENABLING STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, DEMONSTRATING, WITH APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE, TO ORIENT CRITICALLY IN THE POLITICAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL EVENTS OF THE LAST CENTURY.
Prerequisites
KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF THE WESTERN WORLD, ALSO IN ITS RELATIONS WITH THE OUTSIDE, IN THE NINETEENTH AND TWENTIETH CENTURIES.

THE COURSE AIMS TO READ THE HISTORY OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY WITH PROBLEMS AND IN PARTICULAR THE ITALIAN HISTORY FROM THE END OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR TO 2000, EXAMINING, AS REGARDS THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, NOT ONLY THE POLITICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL EVENTS THANKS TO THE ANALYSIS OF MASS COMMUNICATION MEANS, THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF BEHAVIOR, CULTURAL MODELS AND MENTALITY.
Teaching Methods
FRONTAL LESSONS. DURING THE COURSE, SOURCES STILL NOT USED FOR HISTORICAL RESEARCH WILL BE USED: RADIO, POPULAR PRESS, SONGS, THEATER AND, ESPECIALLY, CINEMA, "DREAM FACTORIES", WHICH ON THE ONE HAND REFLECT THE NEEDS AND HEARTS OF THE PUBLIC FEELINGS AND HEARTS OTHERS ARE THEY SAME TIME OF CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BEHAVIORAL MODELS AND EXPECTATIONS.
Verification of learning
IN THE ORAL INTERVIEW (BOTH ON THE GENERAL HISTORY AND THE MONOGRAPHIC PART) THE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE INSTITUTIONAL, POLITICAL, SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL DYNAMICS OF THE PERIOD, THE ABILITY TO EXPRESS LANGUAGE WITH CLEARANCE WILL BE VERIFIED PROGRAM.
THE ORAL EXAMINATION IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE STUDENT'S PREPARATION, BOTH AS REGARDS THE SPECIFIC CONTENT OF THE STUDY PROGRAM, AND IN THE PLAN OF ANALYSIS METHODS.
