Objectives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE :
THE TEACHING OBJECTIVE IS FOR STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE AS A FUNCTION OF THE ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT, SHOWING THE PROCESSES THAT DETERMINE THE INVOLVEMENT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE DISSEMINATION OF HISTORY AND ENCOURAGING THE RE-TRANSLATION (RE-ADAPTATION) OF THE DISCIPLINE INTO MODERN FORMATS, INCLUDING THOSE BASED ON THE USE OF DIGITAL.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS.
THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF CONTEMPORARY HISTORY AND, IN PARTICULAR, OF THE EVENTS THAT CHARACTERISED THE TWENTIETH CENTURY. HE/SHE WILL ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THE PRACTICE OF PUBLIC HISTORY RELIES ON DIFFERENT MEDIA 'SUPPORTS' AND NOT ONLY ON TRADITIONAL ONES, SUCH AS WRITING, AND REACHES A VAST PUBLIC INVOLVED IN THE PRACTICES OF HISTORY.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DO PUBLIC AND DIGITAL HISTORY UNDERSTOOD AS HISTORY IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE EVOLUTION OF THE MENTALITY AND SENSE OF COLLECTIVE BELONGING OF THE DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES LIVING WITHIN THE NATIONAL SPACE AND IN THE GLOBAL VILLAGE. WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO REALISE THIS IN VARIOUS FORMS, SUCH AS THE CREATION OF A CLASS BLOG AND AN ORIGINAL AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCT IN DIGITAL FORMAT.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT.
THE METHODS LEARNT WILL ENABLE THE STUDENT TO LEARN AUTONOMOUSLY AMONG PEERS, THROUGH THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS, AND TO GIVE CONCRETE EXPRESSION TO THE NOTIONS LEARNT IN VARIOUS FORMS AND IN VARIOUS PRACTICAL SITUATIONS.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE HIS OR HER KNOWLEDGE AT DIFFERENT LEVELS (BOTH TO AN AUDIENCE OF EXPERTS AND TO ONE OF NON-SPECIALISTS), INCLUDING IN THE FORMATS OF BLOGS AND AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTS, EXPRESSING IT WITH OWNERSHIP OF LANGUAGE AND SPECIFIC LEXICAL SKILLS, AND USING THE REGISTER MOST APPROPRIATE TO EACH MEDIUM, FORMAT AND CIRCUMSTANCE.

LEARNING SKILLS.
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO CONTINUE LEARNING, INCLUDING THROUGH THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS, AND TO PUT THE NOTIONS LEARNED INTO PRACTICE IN VARIOUS FORMS AND IN VARIOUS PRACTICAL SITUATIONS.

A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTEMPORARY HISTORY AND IN PARTICULAR THE EVENTS WHICH HAVE CHARACTERIZED THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

MAKE PUBLIC AND DIGITAL HISTORY DOES NOT MEAN ONLY TEACH OR DISCLOSE SOME KIND OF HISTORY APPLIED TO THE PROBLEMS DEBATED IN PUBLIC ARENA, TO REACH A WIDE AUDIENCE. ALSO IT MEANS TO DO A STORY IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE EVOLUTION OF MENTALITY AND THE SENSE OF COLLECTIVE MEMBERSHIPS WHICH COEXIST IN NATIONAL SPACE AND GLOBAL VILLAGE. THE EXERCISE OF PUBLIC HISTORY USES DIFFERENT MEDIA "SUPPORT" TO REACHE A WIDE AUDIENCE INVOLVED IN HISTORY PRACTICES. PUBLIC HISTORY USES MANY WAYS TO COMMUNICATE, BUT THE WEB CAME OVERWHELMINGLY IN THE SPREAD OF ITS ACHIEVEMENTS AND COMMUNICATIONS WITH WEBSITE WHICH CAN CHANGE RELATIONS WITH THE RECENT PAST, PLACING THEM IN A MORE EXTENSIVE BUILDING OF INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE MEMORY.

PEER TO PEER LEARNING THROUGH THE USE OF THE SOCIAL NETWORK
REALIZATION OF AN ORIGINAL AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCT IN DIGITAL FORMAT.
Verification of learning
ORAL EXAM AIMED AT EVALUATING THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN THE FIELD OF COMMUNICATION OF HISTORY AS AN ELEMENT OF PUBLIC NARRATION, COMPLETED BY THE CREATION OF AN AUDIOVISUAL PERFORMANCE ON DIGITAL SUPPORT AIMED AT ENHANCING THE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TERRITORY AND OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY OR NATION, ALSO MAKING USE OF COLLECTIVE MEMORY.
