THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE IS TO ENABLE STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE SKILLS ON THE COMMUNICATION OF HISTORY THROUGH PRACTICES OF PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT; THE DISSEMINATION OF HISTORY, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, CAN BE A TOOL FOR CORPORATE AND TERRITORIAL MARKETING THROUGH THE CREATION OF NARRATIVE FORMATS (STORYTELLING) BASED ON THE USE OF DIGITAL. DURING THE COURSE, DIFFERENT PROCESSES OF HISTORY COMMUNICATION, CONNECTED TO SPECIFIC MEDIA 'SUPPORTS', WILL BE ANALYSED IN ORDER TO HIGHLIGHT HISTORY AS AN INFLUENTIAL AGENT ON MARKET CHOICES THROUGH THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN PAST AND PRESENT. |

THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE AND FOUND IN THE BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCE MATERIAL; DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO ANALYSE, REFLECT ON AND COMPARE THE MAIN TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE SYLLABUS; APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN A REFLECTIVE AND SUFFICIENTLY CRITICAL MANNER TO KNOWN TOPICS; DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO DEVISE AND SUPPORT ARGUMENTS RELATED TO THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND TO APPLY TECHNIQUES AND METHODS IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT. |

MAKING PUBLIC AND DIGITAL HISTORY DOES NOT ONLY MEAN TEACHING OR DISSEMINATING HISTORY CONCRETELY APPLIED TO ISSUES DEBATED IN THE PUBLIC ARENA, WITH THE ASPIRATION OF REACHING A WIDE AUDIENCE. IT ALSO MEANS MAKING HISTORY IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE EVOLUTION OF THE MARKET AND THE SENSE OF COLLECTIVE BELONGING OF THE DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES THAT ENCOUNTER THE SGTTROIA IN THE DIFFERENT WAYS IN WHICH THEY TAKE SHAPE IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT. THE EXERCISE OF PUBLIC HISTORY LEVERAGES DIFFERENT MEDIA 'SUPPORTS' TO REACH A WIDE AUDIENCE INVOLVED IN THE PRACTICES OF HISTORY; AN AUDIENCE THAT INCREASINGLY USES HISTORY AS AN AZINEDAL AND TERRITORIAL MARKETING TOOL. THE NET HAS ENTERED THE COMMUNICATION PROCESSES OF HISTORY WITH OVERBEARANCE, OFTEN TRANSFORMING IT INTO AN EDITORIAL PRODUCT FOR COMMERCIAL STORYTELLING AND, INCREASINGLY, AFFECTING THE PERCEPTION OF THE RECENT PAST, RELOCATING IT IN THE REALM OF INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE MEMORIES. |

THE LECTURES WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY PEER LEARNING EXERCISES THROUGH THE USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE, AN ORIGINAL AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCT WILL BE PRODUCED IN DIGITAL FORMAT. |

AN ORAL EXAMINATION WILL BE HELD TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSE. THE EXAMINATION WILL BE THE REALISATION OF A DIGITAL PRODUCT AIMED AT THE VALORISATION OF HISTORY AS STORYTELLING AND AS A CORPORATE AND/OR TERRITORIAL MARKETING TOOL STARTING FROM THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY OR NATION, ALSO BY RESORTING TO THE RECONSTRUCTION OF COLLECTIVE MEMORY. |
