Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO CARRY OUT A STUDY ON THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP, IN-DEPTH WITH A CORPORATE GOVERNANCE PROCESS VIEW, WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MAIN COMPANY FUNCTIONS AND ON THE ANALYSIS OF THE REFERENCE MARKET.
THE FIRST MODULE: 5 CFU - SECS-P/07

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE MAIN BASIC NOTIONS ABOUT CORPORATE ACTIVITY PLANNING. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY FOR ON-GOING AND EX-POST CONTROL OF THE CORRECT IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPANY PLANS AND PROGRAMS IN CONSISTENCY WITH THE STRATEGIES ADOPTED BY THE COMPANY.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF CASES, THE COURSE AIMS TO TRANSFER TO THE STUDENT KNOWLEDGE CAPABLE OF DEVELOPING ADEQUATE SKILLS IN THE USE OF PLANNING, BUDGETING AND MANAGEMENT CONTROL TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS

THE SECOND MODULE: 5 CFU – SECS-P/08

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE IS TO TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE RELATING TO GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. THE MAIN MODELS OF MANAGEMENT PROCESSES WILL BE ILLUSTRATED, SUCH AS TO ALLOW LEARNERS TO ACQUIRE THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF MANAGEMENT IN THE LIGHT OF THE CURRENT COMPLEXITY OF THE REFERENCE CONTEXT.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
LEARNERS, ON THE BASIS OF THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AND THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF CASES, WILL BE ABLE TO: ADDRESS MANAGEMENT ISSUES REFERRING TO ALL TYPES OF COMPANIES; MASTERING PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION-MAKING SITUATIONS; FORMULATE INDEPENDENT AND AWARE JUDGMENTS ON MANAGEMENT ISSUES AND RELATED POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATIONS; CRITICALLY ANALYZE MANAGEMENT ASPECTS WITH RELATED ANALYSIS OF THE CONTEXT, AND ECONOMIC-ACCOUNTING ASPECTS RELATING TO PROGRAMMING AND BUDGETING.

PART III
- ECONOMIC EQUILIBRIUM CONDITIONS (10 HOURS TEACHING):
PROFITABILITY OF THE ENTITY.
COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS. BREAK-EVEN ANALYSIS.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS DIVIDED IN 60H OF FRONTAL LESSONS, PARTECIPATIVE LESSONS AND AND EXERCISES. THE TESTIMONY OF REPRESENTATIVES FROM ENTREPRENEURIAL, NON-PROFIT AND PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES IS PROVIDED.
STUDENTS ARE FREE TO FOLLOW THE COURSE, EVEN IF PARTICIPATING IN THE LESSONS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Verification of learning
THE EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF A WRITTEN TEST LASTING 60 MINUTES AND AN ORAL TEST.
FOR THE WRITTEN TEST OF THE BUSINESS ECONOMICS MODULE, THE STUDENT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE RESOLUTION OF 4 EXERCISES AIMED AT VERIFYING THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO APPLY THE METHODOLOGIES AND ANALYSIS TOOLS LEARNT DURING THE COURSE.
THE ORAL TEST, LASTING A MAXIMUM OF 15 MINUTES, INVOLVES THE DISCUSSION OF THE PAPER, AIMED AT VERIFYING THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO INDEPENDENTLY DEVELOP THE NOTIONS LEARNT. THE ORAL TEST WILL VERIFY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE TOOLS FOR IN ITINERE AND EX POST CONTROL OF THE CORRECT IMPLEMENTATION OF BUSINESS PLANS AND PROGRAMMES IN LINE WITH THE STRATEGIES ADOPTED BY THE COMPANY.
FOR THE WRITTEN TEST OF THE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MODULE, THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO SOLVE AND ANSWER 6 OPEN- AND/OR CLOSED-ENDED EXERCISES/QUESTIONS, AIMED AT TESTING HIS/HER KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT AND ABILITY TO APPLY THE ANALYSIS TOOLS LEARNT DURING THE COURSE. THE ORAL TEST, LASTING APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES, INVOLVES THE DISCUSSION OF THE PAPER, AIMED AT VERIFYING THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO DEVELOP THE NOTIONS LEARNT INDEPENDENTLY/GROUP-WISE. THE ORAL TEST WILL VERIFY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE MAIN BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT MODELS.

THE ORAL TEST WILL BE OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO ACHIEVE A MINIMUM SCORE (TOTAL OF THE TWO MODULES) OF 18 IN THE WRITTEN TEST. THE MARK FOR THE ORAL TEST DEPENDS ON THE DEGREE OF DEPTH OF THE PAPER AND THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY PRESENT THE CONTENTS AND CRITICALLY DISCUSS THE TOPICS ILLUSTRATED. THE MARK FOR THE ORAL EXAMINATION IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE STUDENT'S THEORETICAL DEPTH.
FOR THE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MODULE, THE MINIMUM MARK IN THE ORAL TEST IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: THE COMPANY, MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS AND VALUES, THE DYNAMICS OF COMPANY AND GOVERNMENT VALUES, ECONOMIC EQUILIBRIUM, OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY, AND CAPITAL-FINANCIAL EQUILIBRIUM.

FOR THE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MODULE, THE MINIMUM MARK IN THE ORAL EXAMINATION IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: BREAK-EVEN ANALYSIS, DECISION-MAKING AND PORTFOLIO-PRODUCT MATRICES, BUSINESS FUNCTIONS AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.

THE MAXIMUM MARK IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES AN ADEQUATE MASTERY OF THE SUBJECT AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO LINK THE AFOREMENTIONED TOPICS.
THE FINAL MARK WILL RESULT FROM THE ARITHMETIC MEAN OF THE WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMINATION, TO WHICH A BONUS OF 3 POINTS MAY BE ADDED BY VIRTUE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS
- QUALITY OF THE EXPOSITION, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF APPROPRIATE SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE (1 POINT);
- ABILITY TO CROSS-REFERENCE THE VARIOUS TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES (1 POINT);
- DEMONSTRATED AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT (1 POINT).
