THE COURSE AIMS TO OFFER A KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN CLASSES OF POST CLASSICAL MATERIALS AND OF THE HISTORICAL AND SOCIAL INSTANCES THAT DETERMINED THEIR BIRTH AND DIFFUSION. THROUGH: - INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY OF MATERIAL CULTURE: - THE ACQUISITION AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SOURCES AND RELATED ISSUES. - EVERYDAY LIFE AND ARTISAN TRADITION. - THE ANALYSIS OF HISTORICAL ARTEFACTS THROUGH THE TRACES OF MATERIAL CULTURE. - THE DISCIPLINE AS AN AID TO THE RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION OF THE HISTORICAL HERITAGE. |

THE COURSE WILL BE ARTICULATED THROUGH THE STUDY OF SOME OPPORTUNELY CHOSEN SITES: A HOUSE, A MONASTERY, A CASTLE THE THREE CASE STUDIES WILL OFFER THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW THE TYPES OF ARTIFACTS USED WITHIN THEM DIACHRONICALLY OFFERING STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECONSTRUCT EVERYDAY LIFE. |

THE COURSE WILL TAKE PLACE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE AU STUDY IN A WAY THAT ALLOWS STUDENTS TO ENTER IN A DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CLASSES OF MATERIALS THAT WILL BE TAUGHT FROM TIME TO TIME. EVERY WEEK, ALSO, A SEED OF TWO HOURS, TAKEN BY YOUNG STUDIOSIS, WILL COMPLETE THE COURSE, PROVIDING FORMATIVE CREDITS FOR THOSE STUDENTS IMPOSSIBLE TO FREQUENT THE NORMAL DIDACTIC LESSONS. |

DURING THE COURSE WE WILL DEDICATE A FEW HOURS TO THE DRAFTING OF EXCAVATION CARDS AND CATALOGUING ARCHAEOLOGICAL MATERIALS IN ORDER TO MEASURE THE DEGREE OF PREPARATION ACHIEVED BY EACH VISITOR AND THUS BE ABLE TO INTERVENE IN TIME ON ANY GAPS. |
