Objectives
THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE BYZANTINE HISTORY AND STATE (330-1453). A SEMINAR WILL FOCUS ON THE REBELLION OF GEORGE MANIAKES BY READING SOME EPISODES FROM MICHAEL PSELLOS' CHRONOGRAPHIA.
Prerequisites
NONE. IT IS SUGGESTED A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE ROMAN AND MEDIAEVAL HISTORY.
