Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS CONCERNING AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE TYPICAL ASPECTS OF THERMODYNAMICS AND FLUIDODYNAMICS, BEYOND THE PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN NEEDED FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RELATED MATTERS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
TO CAN ESTABLISH THE BEST PROJECT SOLUTION BY THE NECESSITY OF USERS IN TERMS OF CONFORT AND MONEY SAVE; TO BE ABLE TO DESIGN OR TO SELECT ALL COMPONENTS NECESSARY TO THE FUNCTIONING OF THE AIR CONDITIONING PLANTS.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS:
TO CAN DETECT AND INTERPREATE THE DATA REQUIRED FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROJECT OF A CONDITIONING SYSTEM.

Teaching Methods
TEACHING LEARNERS AND EXERCISES IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE. PARTICULARLY, EXERCISES ARE FINALIZED TO CONTINUOUS CHECK OF THE ACHIEVED LEARNING LEVEL.
Verification of learning
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SET OBJECTIVES WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGH THE EVALUATION OF A PROJECT PAPER DEVELOPED AS A TEAM AND AN ORAL EXAM. THE PAPER WILL BE HANDED IN TO THE LECTURER AT LEAST 5 DAYS BEFORE THE DATE OF THE ORAL EXAMINATION IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO PROCEED WITH ITS CORRECTION. THE EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT WILL TAKE PLACE CONSIDERING THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS: PROJECT IDEA (0-5 POINTS), CORRECTNESS OF THE DESIGN METHODS USED (0-15 POINTS), CRITICAL SENSE IN THE DETERMINATION OF THE DESIGN CHOICES (0-5 POINTS), CONFORMITY OF THE PROJECT REPORTS AND GRAPHIC TABLES (0-5 POINTS). THE SCORE FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ELEMENT IS ATTRIBUTED CONSIDERING: THE MAXIMUM EXPECTED SCORE IF THERE IS AN ABSENCE OF ERRORS; IN THE CASE OF CONCEPTUAL ERRORS THE SCORE IS REDUCED BY UP TO 80% OF THE MAXIMUM EXPECTED SCORE IN A MANNER COMMENSURATE WITH THE NUMBER OF ERRORS FOUND; IN THE CASE OF THE ABSENCE OF THE EXPECTED ELEMENT A NULL SCORE IS ATTRIBUTED. THE MINIMUM THRESHOLD FOR EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE ORAL TEST IS SET AT 20 POINTS.
FOLLOWING THE TEACHER'S PRESENTATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE PROJECT CORRECTION, THE ORAL TEST IS TAKEN INDIVIDUALLY BY EACH STUDENT AND INVOLVES TWO THEORETICAL QUESTIONS ON TWO OF THE TOPICS ANALYSED IN THE LESSON. THE AVERAGE DURATION RANGES FROM AROUND TWENTY MINUTES (IN THE CASE OF ANSWERS GIVEN QUICKLY AND CORRECTLY), UP TO AN HOUR IF THE CANDIDATE HESITATES IN THE ANSWERS AND TAKES TIME TO REASON. THE LEVEL OF SUFFICIENCY CORRESPONDS TO THE DEMONSTRATION OF THE ABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS TO BE USED, TO SET OUT THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY FROM A PHYSICAL ENGINEERING POINT OF VIEW AND TO INDICATE VIABLE WAYS OF SOLVING THE PROBLEM. THE LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE IS REACHED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES THE ABILITY TO SUCCESSFULLY TACKLE ASPECTS OF THE PROBLEMS NOT EXPLICITLY COVERED IN CLASS. THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ORAL EXAMINATION WILL BE MADE BY CONSIDERING THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS: ABSENCE OF ANSWER (0 POINTS), CORRECTNESS OF ANSWER (1-13 POINTS), METHOD AND LANGUAGE OF OVERALL EXPOSITION (0-4 POINTS). THE MINIMUM EVALUATION THRESHOLD FOR THE ORAL TEST (14 POINTS) IS REACHED BY DEMONSTRATING THAT YOU HAVE UNDERSTOOD AND ARE ABLE TO APPLY TO THE REAL WORLD THE NOTIONS CONFERRED BY THE LECTURER DURING THE COURSE. FOR THE PURPOSES OF DETERMINING THE FINAL GRADE, THE PROJECT TEST WILL BE WEIGHTED 70% AND THE ORAL TEST 30%.
