Objectives
TAKING UP THE THEORIES AND GEOGRAPHICAL AND TERRITORIAL ANALYSIS METHODS, THE TEACHING FOCUSES ON THE MODALITIES OF THEIR APPLICATION IN THE DEFINITION OF DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANS. THE ROLE AND THE FUNCTIONS THAT PUBLIC AND PRIVATE OPERATORS TAKE IN LAND TRANSFORMATION POLICIES WILL BE EXAMINED. PROVIDING A CLASSIFICATION OF SECTOR, URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PLANS, THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE OF THE SAME, THEIR CONTENT AND THEIR METHODS OF FORMATION, APPROVAL AND MANAGEMENT.
IN ADDITION, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A READING OF THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE TERRITORY.

THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF THE DISCIPLINE GEOGRAPHICAL IS REQUIRED.

BASIC CONCEPTS OF THE DISCIPLINE. PLANNING: BETWEEN THEORY AND PRAXIS. EVOLUTION OF THE CONCEPT OF PLANNING. THE TEMPORAL DIMENSION OF PLANNING. THE TERRITORIAL SYSTEM. THE LEVELS OF PLANNING. THE EVOLUTION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HUMANS AND ENVIRONMENT AND THE PARADIGM OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. PLANNING AS A PROCESS. OBJECTS AND SUBJECTS OF PLANNING. THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF PLANNING. THE INSTRUMENTS FOR PLANNING (PTR, TERRITORIAL PLANS, MUNICIPAL PLANS AND SECTORAL PLANS)
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS: THE THEORETICAL AND GENERAL FIRST ONE, AIMED AT THE PRESENTATION OF THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF SPATIAL PLANNING (PLANNING LEVELS, MODELS) (60 HOURS), AND AN APPLICATIVE AND METHODOLOGICAL SECOND ONE, WHERE THE INSTRUMENTS OF PLANNING, THE TOOLS FOR KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND DECISION SUPPORT (GIS) AND CASE STUDIES DISCUSSED IN WORKING GROUPS (20 HOURS) WILL BE TREATED. THE TEACHER'S EXPOSURE WILL BE SUPPORTED BY SLIDES.
Verification of learning
THE EVALUATION WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGH AN ORAL EXAM THAT WILL ALLOW FOR THE DISCUSSION OF A PROJECT WORK. THEREFORE, THE ORAL TEST WILL BE AIMED AT VERIFYING THE KNOWLEDGE AND GEOGRAPHICAL SKILLS, THE SKILLS GAINED BY THE STUDENT TO CRITICALLY ANALYZE FACTS AND SPATIAL ISSUES OF PLANNING AT THE DIFFERENT SPATIAL SCALES, AND TO FIND LINKS BETWEEN THE VARIOUS ISSUES.
THE DISCUSSION OF THE PROJECT WORK WILL AIM TO VERIFY THE CAPACITY ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES OBJECT OF STUDY.
