Objectives
FORMAT A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL DOCUMENTATION OF MAGNA GREECE AND THE ETRUSCAN-ITALIC COMMUNITIES OF SOUTHERN ITALY, CONSIDERED IN OUR DIVERSE EVENTS; DEVELOP THE CAPACITY TO IDENTIFY AND REPAIR, IN THEIR HISTORICAL AND ARTISTIC CONTEXT, MATERIAL PRODUCTIONS; SUPPORT THE APPROPRIATE METHODOLOGICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR READING AND INTERPRETING THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL DOCUMENT AS A HISTORICAL INTERPRETATION INSTRUMENT.
Prerequisites
IT IS RECOMMENDED TO ATTEND THE COURSE AFTER PASSING THE EXAMINATION OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY OF GREEK AND ROMAN ART.

THE COURSE AIMS AT DEEPENING A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF MAGNA GRAECIA AND ANCIENT ITALY.
THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO 2 MODULES:
1)ARCHAEOLOGY OF MAGNA GRAECIA
2)CAMPANIA IN ARCHAIC E CLASSICAL AGE
AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL HAVE ACQUIRED THE ESSENTIAL TOOLS FOR READING AND INTERPRETATION OF THE ARCHEOLOGICAL RECORDS, WHICH CAN BE USED IN PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES IN LINE WITH THE LEVEL OF TRAINING AND AS A STARTING POINT FOR A POSTGRADUATE DEGREE. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A BASIC CLASSIFICATION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL DATA, AND APPROPRIATE EXPLANATIONS DURING VISITS TO EXCAVATIONS AND MUSEUM EXHIBITIONS.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS HELD WITH LECTURES SUPPLEMENTED BY POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS WHICH WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE STUDENTS.
Verification of learning
LEARNING OUTCOMES ARE VERIFIED THROUGH ORAL EXAMINATIONS ACCORDING TO THE TIMETABLE PUBLISHED ON THE WEBSITE OF THE GRADUATE COURSE.
