Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL RESOURCES USEFUL TO PLAN EFFECTIVE TEACHING, BASED ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS, TECHNIQUES, AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES TEACHING STRATEGIES.

AT THE END OF THE COURSE, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- DISTINGUISH DIFFERENT METHODS AND TEACHING TECHNIQUES (CLIL, TASK, COOPERATIVE LEARNING, PEER ASSESSMENT);
- TO DESIGN AND PERFORM TEACHING ACTIVITIES IN DIFFERENT ACQUISITIONAL CONTEXTS;
- TO EMPLOY LINGUISTIC RESOURCES AND METHODOLOGIES IN ORDER TO WORK IN THE FIELD OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LANGUAGE EDUCATION.
Prerequisites
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A GOOD LINGUISTIC AND METALINGUISTIC KNOWLEDGE OF ITALIAN AND OF, AT LEAST, A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.

TOGETHER WITH THEORETICAL LESSONS, STUDENTS' WORSHOPS AND SEMINARS OF LANGUAGE TEACHERS WORKING IN DIFFERENT EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS ARE PROPOSED.
Verification of learning
ORAL WORKSHOP DURING THE COURSE: TEACHING EXPERIMENT IN A LANGUAGE (ENGLISH, FRENCH, SPANISH, GERMAN, RUSSIAN) CHOSEN BY THE STUDENT.

THE EXAM COMPRISES BOTH OF OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS AND MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS, TO BE MOTIVATED WITH A SHORT WRITTEN EXPLANATION.

EVALUATION CRITERIA: CONTENT KNOWLEDGE, LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE IN TECHNICAL LANGUAGE, TEXTUAL COHERENCE AND COHESION. A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF POINTS, AS EXPLICITLY DECLARED IN THE WRITTEN EXAM, IS ASSIGNED TO EACH QUESTION (MAX. 30 POINTS).
