Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE LANGUAGE ACQUISITION PROCESS, IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE AN ADEQUATE PREPARATION FOR ITALIAN LS DIDACTICS COURSES.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT
-WILL BE FAMILIAR WITH THEORIES OF LANGUAGE ACQUISITION THAT ALLOW ORIENTATION IN THE ACQUISITION PHASES OF LEARNERS
- WILL LEARN TO ANALYZE THE PRODUCTIONS OF ITALIAN L2 SPEAKERS, BOTH WRITTEN AND ORAL.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO
- USE THE SPECIALIZED TERMINOLOGY OF THE DISCIPLINE CORRECTLY
-RECOGNIZE THE SYSTEMATIC PHENOMENA THAT CHARACTERIZE INTERLANGUAGE AT VARIOUS STAGES OF ACQUISITION

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO
-EVALUATE INTERLANGUAGE PHENOMENA FROM OTHERS THAT ARE DUE TO INTERFERENCE BETWEEN WRITTEN AND SPOKEN MODES

Verification of learning
ORAL SEMINAR DURING THE COURSE: PRESENTATION OF RESEARCH DONE ON A TOPIC COVERED IN CLASS
FINAL WRITTEN TEST, CONSISTING OF OPEN-ENDED AND MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS.
EVALUATION CRITERIA: KNOWLEDGE OF THE TOPIC, ABILITY TO EXPOUND TECHNICAL CONTENT WITH ACCURATE AND APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE CHOICES, TO USE THE SCIENTIFIC-ACADEMIC VARIETY OF THE SUBJECT AREA, AND TO CONSTRUCT A COHESIVE AND COHERENT TEXT. EACH QUESTION IS GIVEN A SCORE, AS EXPLICITLY STATED IN THE TEST, FOR A TOTAL OF 30 POINTS.
