Contents
THROUGH THE FUNDAMENTAL TOOLS OF FEMINIST THINKING, THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE ANALYSIS OF MODERN POLITICAL CONCEPTS – AUTHORITY, RIGHTS, AND CITIZENSHIP - AS AN EXPRESSION OF RELATIONSHIPS OF POWER BASED ON GENDER NORMS. N PARTICULAR, IN ADDITION TO THE REFLECTIONS OF THE ITALIAN AND FRENCH FEMINIST THINKERS, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO ACQUIRE THE THEORETICAL CONTRIBUTION OFFERED FROM BLACK AND POST-COLONIAL CRITICISM TO CONTEMPORARY PUBLIC DEBATE IN THE DECONSTRUCTION OF ‘GENDER’ AS A SOCIAL, SYMBOLIC AND NORMATIVE PRODUCT STRUCTURED BY DIFFERENCES IN SEX, CLASS, COLOR, ETHNICITY.
Teaching Methods
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO READ AND COMMENT ON TEXTS AND ARTICLES IN WAY TO DEEPEN THE CONTENTS AND LANGUAGES USED IN THE DIFFERENT THEORETICAL PRACTICES.
Verification of learning
THROUGH THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE VARIOUS THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES, TEACHING ENCOURAGES TO DEVELOP CRITICAL AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS ADEQUATE TO DEVELOP AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT, THROUGH A CONSTANT DIALOGUE, NECESSARY TO ENHANCE THE EXPRESSIVE AND ARGUMENTATIVE CAPACITY.
.THE ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THROUGH THE STUDY OF THE PROGRAMMATIC STRATEGIES PROMOTED BY THE EU FOR THE EQUALITY OF GENDER, AND BY READING SOME KEY PASSAGES OF THE ‘ANNUAL GENDER GAP’, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO REFLECT CRITICALLY ON SYSTEMIC DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN IN TERMS OF OPPORTUNITIES, ACCESS TO RESOURCES, RIGHTS AND DECISION-MAKING POWER.
IN THIS DIRECTION, THE FINAL EXAMINATION TEST IS DESIGNED, SCHEDULED FOR STUDENTS AND TRAINEES, INVITED TO WRITE A PAPER ON A TOPIC OF THEIR CHOICE IN WHICH EXPRESS THEIR POSITION SUPPORTED BY AN IN-DEPTH REFLECTION ON THE SUBJECT
