Objectives
TEACHING AIMS TO MAKE THE STUDENT ACQUIRE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE CULTURE AND LITERATURE OF THE SPANISH '900, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT AND LITERARY PRODUCTION. IN THIS PERSPECTIVE, THE STUDENT WILL REFINE THE CRITICAL TOOLS NECESSARY FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF WORKS OF DIFFERENT NATURE AND TYPOLOGY, LITERARY AND NON-LITERARY, ALSO IN A COMPARATIVE DIMENSION WITH THE PRODUCTS OF OTHER DISCIPLINARY LANGUAGES, IN PARTICULAR THE CINEMATOGRAPHIC ONE.

Contents
THE COURSE FOCUSES ON THE NARRATIVE OF THE CIVIL WAR, WITH THE AIM OF DEEPENING THE DYNAMICS THROUGH WHICH LITERATURE, IN HARMONY WITH OTHER ARTISTIC LANGUAGES, IN PARTICULAR THE CINEMATOGRAPHIC ONE, NARRATED AND INTERPRETED THAT TRAGIC EXPERIENCE OF SPANISH HISTORY, INTERVENING IN THE DELICATE PROCESS OF HISTORICAL MEMORY IN THE COUNTRY. AFTER A QUICK HISTORICAL EXCURSUS ON THE FUNDAMENTAL HISTORICAL EVENTS AND CULTURAL AND LITERARY TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY, WE WILL FOCUS ON THE STUDY OF THE "NARRATIVE OF MEMORY". WE WILL ANALYZE IN PARTICULAR THE WORKS OF JAVIER CERCAS (SOLDADOS DE SALAMINA), DULCE CHACÓN (LA VOZ DORMIDA), JESÚS FERRERO (LAS TRECE ROSAS), ALBERTO MÉNDEZ (LOS GIRASOLES CIEGOS), AND THE RELATIVE CINEMATOGRAPHIC TRANSPOSITIONS, WITH THE AIM OF PROPITIATING A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN DIFFERENT EXPRESSIVE REGISTERS AND AESTHETIC LANGUAGES.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE WILL BE JOINED IN 30 HOURS, CONSISTING OF FRONTAL LESSONS, PRACTICES AND SEMINAR ACTIVITIES
Verification of learning
ORAL EXAM, IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE. ATTENDING STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP A PAPER ON A TOPIC PREVIOUSLY AGREED WITH THE TEACHER, WHICH WILL THEN BE DISCUSSED IN THE ORAL EXAM.
THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO SHOW HIS CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTENTS, THE ABILITY TO REFER WITH LANGUAGE PROPERTIES, TO USE THE CRITICAL INSTRUMENTS IN THE ANALYSIS OF LITERARY PRODUCTS.
