Objectives | |

THE COURSE AIMS TO ALLOW THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND PRODUCE WRITTEN AND ORAL TEXTS OF DIFFERENT STYLES AND TYPES IN RUSSIAN, AS WELL AS TO TRANSLATE THEM INTO ITALIAN, AND USE THE TRANSLATION FROM L2 TO L1 IN TEACHING. THE LITERATURE AND LITERARY TRANSLATION CURRICULUM AIMS TO DEEPEN THE CRITICAL REFLECTION ON THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ISSUES CONCERNING DIFFERENT TYPES OF LITERARY TRANSLATION AND CRITICAL TEXTS. THE LINGUISTICS AND DIDACTICS OF LANGUAGES CURRICULUM AIMS TO IMPROVE METHODOLOGICAL AND LINGUISTIC SKILLS WHILE FACILITATING THE TEACHING/LEARNING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ALSO IN RELATION TO ISSUES OF DEFINITION IN INTERLINGUAL AND INTRALINGUAL TRANSLATION PROCESSES. THE LANGUAGES FOR THE RESOURCES AND THE ECONOMIES OF THE TERRITORY CURRICULUM AIMS AT THE DEEPENING OF THE SPECIAL LANGUAGES AND SPECIALIZED TRANSLATION. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL: - STRENGTHEN A C1 LEVEL OF THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK RELATING TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN THE FOUR LANGUAGE SKILLS (READING, WRITING, LISTENING, SPEAKING) OF AN ADVANCED LEVEL. - DEEPEN THE METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS FOR THE LINGUANGE ANALYSIS OF WRITTEN AND ORAL TEXTS RELATING TO DIFFERENT DOMAINS; - DEEPEN THE TECHNIQUES FOR THE TRANSLATION OF COMPLEX WRITTEN AND ORAL TEXTS FROM RUSSIAN INTO ITALIAN. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO -ANALYZE A WRITTEN AND ORAL TEXT AT A STYLISTIC AND RHETORICAL LEVEL AND ADEQUATELY TRANSLATE IT INTO ITALIAN; -USE TEXT TRANSLATION FOR TEACHING PURPOSES OF RUSSIAN TO ITALIAN STUDENTS. MAKING JUDGEMENTS STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: -REFLECT ON THE TEXTUAL FORMS OF RUSSIAN AND ON THEIR ORAL AND WRITTEN LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS; -CRITICALLY ANALYSE TRANSLATIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THEIR OWN SPECIALIZATION; -APPROACH RESEARCH PROBLEMS AND DOCUMENTS STARTING FROM THE TOPICS TAKEN FROM THE STUDIED TEXTS. COMMUNICATION SKILLS STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: -COMMUNICATE IN RUSSIAN AT AN ADVANCED LEVEL TALKING ABOUT COMPLEX TOPICS AND DISCUSSING THEIR OWN POINT OF VIEW; -WORK IN A RUSSIAN-SPEAKING ENVIRONMENT BY INTERACTING AS EQUALS IN DIFFERENT PROFESSIONAL FIELDS (SCHOOLS, COMPANIES, CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS, TRANSLATION AGENCIES); -PRESENT AND DISCUSS, BY MEANS OF TEXTS AND ONLINE TOOLS, RESEARCH RESULTS AND THEIR OWN WORK; -READ AND UNDERSTAND COMPLEX SPECIALISED TEXTS OF DIFFERENT TYPES. LEARNING SKILLS STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: - USE TRADITIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS AND IT RESOURCES OF ANALYSIS FOR DOCUMENTS; - CARRY OUT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET COMPLEX TEXTS BASED ON THEIR OWN SPECIALISATION; - IMPROVE AND FURTHER SPECIALIZE IN DIFFERENT FIELDS OF WORK EXPLOITING THE REACHED LINGUISTIC AND COMMUNICATIVE AWARENESS. |

- IN-DEPTH STUDY OF THE FUNCTIONAL STYLES OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (SCIENTIFIC, OFFICIAL, INTERVIEW, PUBLIC, LITERARY) - APPLICATION OF STYLES IN THE DIFFERENT PROFESSIONAL SPHERES - COMPARISON WITH THE CORRESPONDING STYLES IN THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE. THE THREE CURRICULA WILL BE DEDICATED SPECIFICALLY TO: - LITERARY TRANSLATION FROM RUSSIAN TO ITALIAN - TECHNICAL TRANSLATION FROM RUSSIAN TO ITALIAN - TEACHING OF RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. |

- TEST DURING THE YEAR - WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMINATION. THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF 1) FOR ALL 3 CURRICULA: STYLISTIC TRANSFORMATION OF A LETTER, STYLISTIC ANALYSIS OF SMALL TEXTS (LITERARY, SCIENTIFIC, PUBLICISTIC); 2) FOR THE TECHNICAL TRANSLATION CURRICULUM ALSO: TRANSLATION OF SHORT PIECES OF DIFFERENT GENRES (CONTRACT, ENOGRAMMA); TRANSLATION OF PHRASES CONTAINING: ABBREVIATIONS, REALIA, SPECIFIC TERMS. THE ORAL EXAM WILL BE DIVIDED INTO 3 PARTS: FOR THE LECTORATE COURSE (COMMON TO ALL 3 CURRICULA): 1. READING, TRANSLATION AND STYLISTIC ANALYSIS OF A STORY. 2. CONVERSATION ON THE TOPICS COVERED DURING THE READING COURSE (SEE THE PROGRAM). FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER TEACHER MODULE (COMMON TO ALL 3 CURRICULA): 1. TRANSLATION WITH COMMENTS OF THE TRANSLATION OF A TEXT. THE COMMENT MUST CONTAIN THE TRANSLATION STRATEGIES AND TECHNIQUES USED. FOR THE SECOND SEMESTER MODULES OF LITERARY TRANSLATION AND DIDACTIC OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE: 1. LITERARY TRANSLATION: DISCUSSION ON THE ASSIGNED TEXT AND TRANSLATED DURING THE COURSE. 2. RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TEACHING: EXHIBITION OF L2 RUSSIAN LESSON SIMULATIONS FOR ITALOPHONE STUDENTS. |
