THE COURSE AIMS TO ENRICH THE LANGUAGE AND SOCIOLINGUISTIC, PRAGMATIC AND TEXTUAL SKILLS OF STUDENTS THROUGH LINGUISTIC, RETORICAL ANALYSIS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING (DESCRIPTOR 1 DUBLIN) THE STUDENT WILL KNOW: - IN DEEP WAY THE METHODS OF TEXTUAL AND TRANSLATION ANALYSIS AT ADVANCED LEVEL; - COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR THE PROCESSING OF TEXTS AND TO CARRY OUT, IN THE LANGUAGE FIELD, SEARCHES OF VARIOUS NATURE. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING (DESCRIPTOR 2 DUBLIN) - THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - DEEPEN THE STUDY OF COMPLEX LINGUISTIC PHENOMENA AND PROBLEMS OF TRANSLATION AND ITS REFORMULATION WITH DIFFERENT METHODS AND OBJECTIVES. - USE COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR THE PROCESSING OF TEXTS AND TO CARRY OUT, IN THE LANGUAGE FIELD, SEARCHES OF VARIOUS NATURE. AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT (DESCRIPTOR 3 DUBLIN) THE STUDENT WILL HAVE A MASTERY OF REFLECTION AND JUDGMENT OF UPDATED CRITICAL AND KNOWLEDGE TOOLS THAT ALLOW THE PROCESSING OF RESEARCH IN FRENCH LANGUAGE, AS WELL AS THE CULTURAL AND DISCIPLINARY AREAS THAT REFER TO IT. COMMUNICATION SKILLS (DESCRIPTOR 4 DUBLIN) THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DESIGN AND COMMUNICATE LINGUISTIC AND TRANSLATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS ALSO IN E-LEARNING MODE. THROUGH LINGUISTIC, RHETORICAL AND STYLISTIC ANALYSIS OF WRITTEN AND ORAL TEXTS, WITH THE INTENTION OF EMPHASIZING THE INTIMATE CONNECTION BETWEEN SYNTACTIC, SEMANTIC AND PRAGMATIC ORDER FACTORS., IT IS INTENDED TO ENRICH THE WRITTEN AND ORAL EXPRESSION OF THE LANGUAGE THROUGH MORPHO-SYNTACTIC POINTING AND ANALYSIS OF COMPLEX STRUCTURES SUCH AS: -DIFFERENT PROCESSES OF CHARACTERIZATION -EXPRESSION OF CONSEQUENCE: TERMS OF COORDINATION -THE EXPRESSION OF PURPOSE AND CONCESSION -EXPRESSION OF CAUSE -POSITION OF NEGATIVE TERMS -USE OF THE PASSIVE FORM -PREPOSITIONS + NOUNS -THE INTERROGATIVE FORM IN INDIRECT SPEECH -PLACEMENT OF THE ADVERB -GERUND AND PRESENT PARTICIPLE -CONJUNCTIVE DISCOURSE -EXCLAMATIVE CONSTRUCTIONS. READING, ANALYSIS, DICTATION, TRANSLATION AND COMMENTARY OF TEXTS AND DOCUMENTS CONCERNING: - WORD FORMATION AND NEOLOGY IN CONTEMPORARY FRENCH: TRENDS AND ISSUES 2 HOURS - PHRASES: LOCUTIONS, COLLOCATIONS, CLICHÉS AND PRAGMATHEMES 2 HOURS - SENTENCE STRUCTURE IN CONTEMPORARY FRENCH 2 HOURS - SPECIALIZED COMMUNICATION 4/6 HOURS - LEXICOGRAPHY, LEXICOLOGY, TERMINOLOGY. 8 HOURS - SPECIALIZED TRANSLATION: TOURISM, LAW AND LITERATURE. 15 HOURS THE STUDENT WILL BE INVITED TO COMAPRATIVE-CONTRASTIVE COMPARISON BETWEEN CONTACT CODES THROUGH THE TRANSLATION OF TEXTS OF LITERARY AND SPECIALIZED INTEREST. IN VIEW OF THE IMPORTANCE THAT NEW TECHNOLOGIES HAVE ASSUMED TODAY AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE WEIGHT THAT THEY HAVE IN THE PROFESSION OF TRANSLATOR, THE COURSE ALSO AIMS TO EFFECTIVELY DEVELOP THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO USE COMPUTER AIDS AND THE APTITUDE FOR GROUP WORK ON THE WEB. ATTENDING STUDENTS WILL BE TUTORED ON INDIVIDUAL PATHS BOTH IN TRANSLATION TESTS AND IN THE PRESENTATION OF ALTERNATIVE STUDY PROPOSALS. A SERIES OF TUTORIALS WILL INITIATE STUDENTS INTO THE PROBLEMS OF RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION. |

AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE COURSE, ATTENDING AND NONATTENDING STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE AN EXAM THAT INCLUDES A PROPAEDEUTIC WRITTEN TEST, THE PASSING OF WHICH IS A PREREQUISITE FOR ACCESS TO THE ORAL TEST. THE 6-HOUR WRITTEN TEST WILL COVER THE TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE OF THE LECTURES, BASED ON THE CONTENT OF THE ADOPTED TEXTBOOKS. THE STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO PASS: -A DICTATION TO TEST FURTHER AND MORE COMPLEX PHONETIC, PHONOLOGICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE, -A LANGUAGE DISSERTATION ON THE CIVILIZATION/TOPICAL ISSUES BEING STUDIED -TRANSLATION OF A TEXT FROM FRENCH INTO ITALIAN. THE FINAL GRADE WILL BE THE RESULT OF THE AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH EXAMINATION PAPER. THE AWARD OF THE MAXIMUM GRADE IN THIRTIETHS (30/30) WILL CORRESPOND TO THE TOTAL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES, FROM 27 TO 29/30 THE ACHIEVEMENT OF ALL THE OBJECTIVES WITH SOME GAPS, FROM 24 TO 26/30 THE PRACIAL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES, FROM 18 TO 23/30 THE ACHIEVEMENT OF 50% OF THE COURSE OBJECTIVES. FOR THOSE ATTENDING, THERE ARE SUBSTITUTED ON-COURSE TESTS FOR PART OR ALL OF THE FINAL EXAM. |
