Objectives
KNOWLEDGE RELATING TO THE HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS AND TO THE DIFFERENT TEACHING THEORIES AND METHODOLOGIES. THE UNDERSTANDING OF CONTEXTS, METHODS AND DIDACTICS WILL ALSO BE FACILITATED THROUGH VARIOUS EXAMPLES WHILE BASIC SKILLS WILL BE ACQUIRED THROUGH LABORATORY ACTIVITIES.
A SIGNIFICANT LEARNING OBJECTIVE IS THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ROLE OF THE EDUCATOR, OF TEACHING STRATEGIES AND METHODOLOGIES, OF THE RELEVANCE OF FORMAL AND INFORMAL ENVIRONMENTS, OF STRUCTURED AND UNSTRUCTURED TEACHING MATERIALS.
FINALLY, PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS USEFUL FOR THE PRACTICE OF PSYCHOMOTOR ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENCE.
Prerequisites
THE COURSE IS THE FIRST APPROACH TO THE DISCIPLINES. THERE IS NO PREREQUISITE.
Contents
THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF PSYCHOMOTOR THEORIES AND PRACTICES, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE ROLE OF PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS IN PROMOTING ADEQUATE COGNITIVE, MOTOR, SOCIAL AND RELATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDHOOD. IT WILL PROVIDE A LOOK AT THE ROLE OF MOVEMENT AND THE FUNCTIONALITY OF GAMES; TECHNIQUES AND FIELDS OF APPLICATIONS OF PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS; PLANNING OF PSYCHOMOTOR ACTIVITY; THE PSYCHOMOTOR SETTING AND PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE PAID TO OBSERVATIONAL SKILLS IN RELATION TO THE ROLE OF THE EDUCATOR AND THE USE OF DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS, INCLUDING THE EXTERNAL ONE, STRUCTURES AND TEACHING MATERIALS.
Teaching Methods
THE TEACHING USES THE FOLLOWING METHODOLOGIES:
-LECTURES ON BROAD TOPICS FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSION WITH STUDENTS.
- LESSONS THAT GIVE OPERATIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND OFFER EXERCISES AND PROBLEMS ON WHICH THE STUDENT WILL BE INVITED TO EXPERIENCE THE LEARNING ACHIEVED.
CLASSROOM EXERCISES, SIMULATIONS, DESIGN EXPERIENCES ARE ALSO PROVIDED.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH
EVALUATION OUT OF THIRTY. THE EXAM INCLUDES A MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST.
THE WRITTEN TEST AIMS TO EVALUATE THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENT. IT HAS A DURATION OF 30 MINUTES,
IN WHICH THE STUDENT HAS TO TAKE A QUIZ CONSISTING OF 35 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS. THE FINAL GRADE IS AWARDED OUT OF THIRTY. THE EXAM IS PASSED WHEN THE GRADE IS GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO
18. IT IS FORESEEN THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE HIGHEST MARKS WITH HONORS (30 WITH HONORS).
PRE-APPEAL TESTS CAN BE AGREED WITH THE CLASS IN ORDER TO LIGHTEN THE FINAL EXAM.
