Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE STUDENT WITH THE ESSENTIAL TOOLS FOR THE ANALYSIS AND CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TEXTS AND THE LEADING LITERARY AND CULTURAL PHENOMENA THAT CHARACTERIZED SPAIN BETWEEN THE 18TH AND 20TH CENTURIES.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT:
- WILL KNOW THE FUNDAMENTAL AND DISTINCTIVE TEXTS OF SPANISH LITERARY PRODUCTION BETWEEN THE END OF THE 18TH AND THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY;
- WILL KNOW THE ESSENTIAL TOOLS FOR ANALYZING LITERARY TEXTS;
- WILL UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE HISTORICAL CULTURAL CONTEXT AND THE LITERARY ONE.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
-TRANSLATE AND COMMENT TEXTS IN PROSE AND IN VERSE;
-ANALYZE THE DIFFERENT TEXTUAL FORMS FROM A PHILOLOGICAL AND LITERARY POINT OF VIEW;
-ADEQUATELY PROCESS THE INFORMATION AND ARGUE IN SPANISH.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
-COLLECT AND INTERPRET DATA;
-DISCERN ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FROM SECONDARY INFORMATION;
-ELABORATE AUTONOMOUS JUDGMENTS STARTING FROM A SOLID KNOWLEDGE OF THE DATA.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE INFORMATION, IDEAS AND ARGUE IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.

LEARNING SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO
-USE TRADITIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS AND DIGITAL RESOURCES;
-UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET COMPLEX LITERARY TEXTS;
-PROCEED WITH THE CONTINUOUS UPDATING OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE, USING THE RELEVANT SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE.
Prerequisites
STUDENT MUST HAVE PASSED EXAMS OF SPANISH LITERATURE II AND SPANISH LANGUAGE II.

A) CAPACITY TO SPEAK FLUENTLY CORRECTLY AND CLEARLY SPANISH
B) CAPACITY AT PRESENTING AN ARGUMENT COHERENT WITH THE COURSE TOPICS
C) CAPACITY OF RECOGNIZING LITERARY MOVEMENTS AND TEXTS WITH A GOOD ANALYSIS OF THEIR ORIGINAL THEMATIC AND FORMAL ASPECTS
THE FINAL GRADE IS FROM 18 TO 30.
