THE COURSE PROVIDES AN INTRODUCTION TO THE FUNDAMENTAL PSYCHOLOGICAL THEORIES FOR EDUCATION. AS WELL AS THE KNOWLEDGE ON THE COGNITIVE-CULTURAL AND SOCIO-RELATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE VARIOUS STAGES FROM CHILDHOOD TO YOUTH, HELPING THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE DIFFICULTIES THAT MAY ARISE DURING THE EDUCATIONAL PATH. THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE BEHAVIOR AND FUNCTIONING OF THE MIND, THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF THE MAIN PSYCHOLOGICAL THEORIES, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT. EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO KNOW THE THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF PSYCHOLOGY AND THE BASIS OF THE DISCIPLINE; TO LEARN HOW TO READ AND DISCUSS SCIENTIFIC TEXTS. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: BEING ABLE TO USE PSYCHOLOGICAL CONCEPTS APPROPRIATELY AND TO USE IT FOR THE ANALYSIS OF COMPLEX CASES. |

THERE WILL BE 20H OF LABORATORY OF "INFANT OBSERVATION". |

THE COURSE INCLUDES LECTURES FOLLOWED BY PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES ON SPECIFIC TOPICS AND CASE STUDIES. THE LESSONS WILL PRESENT THE MAIN THEORIES AND PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESSES OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION; IN THE PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES, STUDENTS WILL BE INVITED TO EXPERIMENT THE USE OF THESE THEORIES IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT. |
Verification of learning | |

THE EXAMINATION IS BASED ON A WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAM. THE EVALUATION WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AS WELL AS THE ACCURACY OF THE LANGUAGE. THE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE BASED ON, AT LEAST, 30 QUESTIONS (MULTIPLE CHOICES). THE ORAL EXAM WILL BE BASED ON THE DISCUSSION OF, AT LEAST, THREE DIFFERNT TOPICS. TO CERTIFY THE ACTIVITIES OF THE LABORATORY IN "INFANT OBSERVATION" THE STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO WRITE N. 4 PROTOCOLS THAT WILL BE EVALUATED. |
