Objectives
The course aims to provide an in-depth insight into the use of the dynamic ecological approach in the assessment of sporting aptitude, focusing on the interactions between athletes and the environment. Through this approach, students will explore how these factors interact to influence learning, adaptation and improvement in sport. Environmental affordances and their relationship with athletes' abilities will be analyzed, promoting training strategies that encourage exploration and individual adaptation. The course aims to prepare future professionals to develop flexible and innovative training programs, suited to the changing needs of the sporting world.

Knowledge and skills: Students will develop a solid theoretical understanding of advanced sporting methodologies, focusing on how the dynamic ecological approach can be employed to analyze and enhance athletic performance. A critical evaluation of the theories that regulate motor learning and the process of skill acquisition will be encouraged, also examining how these can be concretely applied to refine strength training and improve sports performance.

Ability to apply knowledge and skills: Students will be able to transfer theoretical knowledge into concrete training strategies, designing and implementing regimes that not only improve sporting performance but are also sensitive to the individual, task and environmental constraints that each athlete faces. face up. Advanced evaluation methodologies will be used to continuously monitor the progress of athletes, thus allowing training to be adapted to their specific needs and objectives.

Contents
DURING THE COURSE, THE FOLLOWING FUNDAMENTAL TOPICS FOR THE ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF SPORTS PERFORMANCE WILL BE COVERED:

BASIC CONCEPTS OF STRENGTH AND SPEED: FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES THAT INFLUENCE STRENGTH AND SPEED IN SPORTS.

ANATOMY AND LIMITING FACTORS IN FORCE PRODUCTION: ANALYSIS OF KEY BODILY STRUCTURES ESSENTIAL FOR FORCE GENERATION.

BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS OF SPORTS MOVEMENT: METHODS FOR SCIENTIFICALLY EXAMINING MOVEMENT IN SPORTS.

ADAPTATION OF STRENGTH TRAINING: CUSTOMIZATION OF TRAINING PROGRAMS TO MEET THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF SPORTS.

INCREASING OVERLOAD IN STRENGTH TRAINING: STRATEGIES TO ENHANCE STRENGTH BEYOND EVERYDAY USE.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF SPORT-SPECIFIC TRAINING: DIRECT PRACTICE OF SPECIFIC TRAINING REGIMES FOR VARIOUS SPORTS.

THESE CONTENTS ARE CRUCIAL FOR ACHIEVING THE EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE, AIMED AT DEVELOPING ADVANCED SKILLS IN MONITORING AND IMPROVING ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE, WHILE ALSO PROMOTING WELL-BEING AND DEEPENING SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INVOLVES A COMBINATION OF THEORETICAL LECTURES AND PRACTICAL EXERCISES IN THE CLASSROOM. DURING THE EXERCISES, STUDENTS ARE TASKED WITH SOLVING PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE APPLICATION OF THE DYNAMIC ECOLOGICAL APPROACH TO SPORTS ACTIVITIES. THE PROBLEM-SOLVING METHOD INVOLVES IDENTIFYING INTERACTIONS BETWEEN ATHLETES AND THE ENVIRONMENT, PLANNING ADAPTIVE TRAINING PROGRAMS, AND FINALLY IMPLEMENTING THESE PROGRAMS. THIS LAST PHASE PROMOTES THE ABILITY TO ASSESS THE REASONABLENESS AND EFFECTIVENESS OF ATHLETES' RESPONSES TO THE PROPOSED STIMULI AND TO VERIFY CONSISTENCY WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF THE DYNAMIC ECOLOGICAL APPROACH, EMPHASIZING THE IMPORTANCE OF EXPLORATION AND PERSONAL ADAPTATION.
Verification of learning
THE EXAMINATION IS STRUCTURED AS AN ORAL INTERVIEW DIVIDED INTO TWO DISTINCT PHASES.

IN THE FIRST PHASE, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE A SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF THE THEORETICAL NOTIONS RELATED TO THE DYNAMIC ECOLOGICAL APPROACH, HIGHLIGHTING HOW THESE INFLUENCE LEARNING AND SPORTS ADAPTATION IN VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTS. IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE STUDENT TO ILLUSTRATE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF THE APPROACH, SUCH AS THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN ATHLETES AND THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE INFLUENCE OF THESE ELEMENTS ON SPORTS PERFORMANCE.

IN THE SECOND PHASE, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE THEIR ABILITY TO REASON AND PRACTICALLY APPLY THE LEARNED THEORIES. THIS CAN BE DONE THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF ESSAYS OR CASE STUDIES WHERE THE STUDENT HAS SUCCESSFULLY APPLIED THE DYNAMIC ECOLOGICAL APPROACH TO DEVELOP TRAINING PROGRAMS THAT MEET SPECIFIC ADAPTABILITY AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT NEEDS OF ATHLETES. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE STUDENT SHOWS HOW THEY HAVE INTEGRATED INDIVIDUAL, TASK, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTS IN THE DESIGN OF THE TRAINING PROGRAMS.

THE FINAL GRADE IS AWARDED IN THIRTIETHS AND RESULTS FROM THE AVERAGE OF THE EVALUATIONS OBTAINED IN THE TWO PHASES. THE EXAM IS CONSIDERED PASSED WHEN THE SCORE FOR EACH OF THE TWO PHASES IS GREATER THAN 15/30, AND THE OVERALL SCORE IS EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN 18. THE MINIMUM EVALUATION LEVEL (15) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT SHOWS FRAGMENTED THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE OR LIMITED PRACTICAL APPLICATION CAPABILITIES. THE MAXIMUM SCORE (30) IS RESERVED FOR STUDENTS WHO DEMONSTRATE A COMPLETE AND THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF THE SUBJECT AND A REMARKABLE ABILITY TO APPLY THEORIES TO PRACTICAL SCENARIOS. HONORS ARE CONFERRED ON STUDENTS WHO EXHIBIT EXCEPTIONAL MASTERY OF BOTH THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL CONTENT AND WHO SHOW THE ABILITY TO PRESENT AND DISCUSS TOPICS WITH PROPER LANGUAGE AND INDEPENDENT ELABORATION, EVEN IN CONTEXTS NOT DIRECTLY COVERED DURING THE COURSE.
