AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE NURSING ASSISTANCE TO PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM ENT AND OPHTHALMIC DISEASES BOTH IN THE OUTPATIENT SETTING, BOTH IN THE HOSPITAL WARDS AND IN OPERATING THEATERS DURING ENT AND OPHTHALMIC SURGICAL PROCEDURES. AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO ACQUIRE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE MOST COMMON PATHOLOGIES IN THE CLINICAL PRACTICE OF THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM AS WELL AS NURSING ASSISTANCE TO PATIENTS IN THE OUTPATIENT, WARD AND OPERATING ROOM. THE OPHTHALMOLOGY MODULE AIMS TO LET STUDENTS KNOW THE DUTIES OF NURSES IN ASSISTING DURING THE DISEASES MANAGEMENT THAT AFFECT THE VISUAL SYSTEM. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES WILL INCLUDE THE ACQUISITION BY THE STUDENT OF: ABILITY TO KNOW THE MOST COMMON DISORDERS OF THE VISUAL APPARATUS, AS WELL AS TO MANAGE THEM FROM A NURSING POINT OF VIEW. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: • KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING OPHTHALMOLOGICAL PATHOLOGIES, THE NOTIONS ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSE • POSSESSING ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING • POSSESS ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO THE DEFINITION OF RELATIONS WITH PATIENTS • POSSESS ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO NURSING PRACTICE • POSSESS ABILITY TO APPLY ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE FOR BEST NURSING CARE TO PATIENTS • POSSESS ABILITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED TO THE EVALUATION OF ANY INTERACTIONS BETWEEN DISORDERS OF THE VISUAL APPARATUS AND SKILLS OF THE SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL AREA THE ORTHOPEDICS MODULE AIMS TO LET THE STUDENTS KNOW THE DUTIES OF NURSES IN ASSISTING THE MANAGEMENT OF PATHOLOGIES THAT AFFECT THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM.
