Objectives
DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF NEUROPHYSIOLOGY AND NEUROPHYSIOPATHOLOGY. THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF SYMPTOMS AND CLINICAL-INSTRUMENTAL SIGNS WITH WHICH THE DISEASES OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM IN THE ADULT MANIFEST. THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF SYMPTOMS AND CLINICAL-INSTRUMENTAL SIGNS WITH WHICH PSYCHIATRIC DISEASES MANIFEST. DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF THE FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM OF VISION RELATED TO NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES. INTERPRETATION OF THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF IMAGE DIAGNOSTICS AIMED AT IDENTIFYING THE ABOVE DISEASES. DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF THE REHABILITATION PRINCIPLES AND OF THE USEFUL METHODS FOR THE RECOVERY OF THE HANDLING / PRENSION, TRUNK, WALKING AND VISION FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM. KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AIMS WILL INCLUDE: 1)GENERIC KNOWLEDGE OF CULTURAL, HISTORICAL, SCIENTIFIC AND NORMATIVE EVOLUTION OF PSYCHIATRIC ASSISTANCE, NOSOGRAPHY OF PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS, THEIR ETIOPATHOGENETIC MODELS AND THEIR EPIDEMIOLOGY; 2) KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS AND OF THEIR DISABILITIES IN THE FIELD OF INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND WORK FUNCTIONING ; 3) KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL RULES OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN NURSE AND PSYCHIATRIC PATIENT; 4) LEARNING HOW TO EVALUATE, DIAGNOSE AND TREAT THE MOST COMMONLY OBSERVED NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES; 5) INTERPRETATION OF THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING AIMED TO IDENTIFY THE DISEASES LISTED ABOVE; 6) ABILITY TO IDENTIFY AND TO HELP THE OPHTHALMOLOGIST IN THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MOST COMMON OPHTALMOLOGIC DISEASES.
AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
•IDENTIFY THE MAIN PSYCHIATRIC AND NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES AND TO UNDERSTAND THEIR EVOLUTION;
•IDENTIFY THE MAIN CONSEQUENCES OF PSYCHIATRIC AND NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES ON THE INDIVIDUAL’S FUNCTIONAL ABILITIES AND THEIR LONG-TERM OUTCOMES;
•KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE VISUAL SISTEM, OF THE OPHTHALMIC PATHOLOGIES, OF THE ACTIONS ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSE
•KNOWLEDGE OF POSSIBLE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN VISUAL SYSTEM DISORDERS AND DISEASES OF THE NERVOUS AND OSTEOMUSCULAR SYSTEM
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
•APPLY THE LEARNED KNOWLEDGE IN ORDER TO FORMULATE THE APPROPRIATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE PATIENT;
•APPLY THE LEARNED KNOWLEDGE TO THE CLINICAL PRACTICE
•ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE FOR THE BEST TREATMENT OF PATIENTS NEEDING PREVENTION, CARE AND REHABILITATION INTERVENTIONS IN THE AREAS OF MOTRICITY, SUPERIOR CORTICAL FUNCTIONS, AND VISCERAL FUNCTIONS.
•ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO THE EVALUATION OF ANY INTERACTIONS BETWEEN PATOLOGIES OF THE VISUAL SISTEM AND EXPERTISE OF THE SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL AREA.
Prerequisites
ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE OF ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE DISCIPLINES OF THE COURSE. BASIC BACKGROUND PRINCIPLES OF RELATED BIOLOGY AND PHYSICS.
IN THIS REGARD THE STUDENT MUST HAVE PASSED THE EXAMINATIONS REPORTED IN THE ACADEMIC REGULUATIONS OF THE COURSE
