Palmiero MONTELEONE | Curriculum

Palmiero Monteleone is Full Professor of  Psychiatry at the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Salerno and Director of the Psychiatric Unit of Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria of Salerno. He coordinates the activities of the Eating Disorders Center of the Campania Region in the Department of Psychiatry of the Second University of Naples. He is chair of the Eating Disorders  Section of the World Psychiatric Association, and member of the  Research Committee of the World  Association for Biological Psychiatry and of the ICD-11 Expert Consultation Group on the Classification of Feeding and Eating Disorders, the World Health Organization. He is secretary of the Italian Society of Eating Psychopathology and member of several national and international scientific societies, including the Eating Disorders Research Society. He has participated and participates in several research projects supported by the Italian CNR and MIUR. He has published more than 250 papers in international and national scientific journals and some monographs. He is member of the editorial boards of the following international scientific journals: Psychoneuroendocrinology, International Journal of Eating Disorders, Neuropsychobiology, Advances in Eating Disorders: Theory, Research and Practice, European Eating Disorders Review.
