THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE PATHOGENETIC MECHANISMS ON THE MAIN HEMATOLOGICAL DISEASES AND SOLIDS TUMORS, INCLUDING BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION FROM THE CLINICAL AND LABORATORY STUDIES AS WELL AS TO ALLOW THE ACQUISITION OF DIAGNOSTIC ELEMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE STAGING, PROGNOSIS AND THERAPY OF THE ABOVE REPORTED DISEASES |

STUDENTS MUST HAVE ALREADY ACQUIRED THROUGH THE PREVIOUSCOURSES THE CONCEPTS OF GENERAL BIOLOGY CONCERNING MECHANISMS OF TUMOR EVOLUTION AND PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF BOTH HEMATOLOGIC AND SOLID NEOPLASTIC DISEASES. THE STUDENT MUST KNOW THE PHYSIOPATHOLOGY OF THE MAIN HAEMOSTASIS DISEASES, AS WELL AS THE MECHANISM OF ACTION OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ANTINEOPLASTIC DRUGS. |
