SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITY

Scientific co-responsible, together with prof. Antonello Petrella, of a scientific collaboration agreement between Neilos s.r.l. and DIFARMA entitled: ‘Evaluation of the efficacy of substances with antimicrobial activity for skin and mucosae in tissue repair’ (2021-2022).

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND AREAS OF INTEREST

The research activity mainly concerns the molecular mechanisms involved in cell regeneration within the repair process of skin lesions and neoplastic progression as targets for the development of new pharmacological treatments.

- Study of glycosaminoglycans (mainly mesoglycan) in tissue repair.

- Study of the role of annexin A1 protein in the tumor progression of pancreatic carcinoma.

- Study of the role of annexin A1 and CAF-1 proteins and the effects of metformin in head and neck cancer.
