Amelia FILIPPELLI Curriculum

Degree in Medicine and Surgery (1982) - Specialist in Pharmacology (1986) - PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology (1990).

Board Member of the Italian Society of Toxicology and the Italian Society of Pharmacology - Committee Member of the Italian Society of Toxicology and the Italian Society of Pharmacology- Chairman of the Ethical Committee “Campania Sud” and Member of the Ethical Committee of “Campania Centro”.

Full professor of Pharmacology in Graduated Course in Medicine, Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Physiotherapy and Obstetric Nursing.

Coordinator of the PhD Program in Translational and Clinical Medicine at University of Salerno.

Director of the Clinical Pharmacology Unit at the University Hospital “San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d’Aragona” of Salerno (Italy).

Member of the Prices and Reimbursement Committee (CPR) of the Italian Drugs Agency (AIFA).

Her research programs have been supported by the Health Department Ministry, the Italian University and Research Department, the National Council of Research, the Health Regional Authority.

Main research fields are Oxidative Stress, Physical Exercise in Health and Disease, Pharmacogenetics, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Pharmacology, Cardiovascular Diseases (artery coronary restenosis, heart failure), Ageing, Pharmacoepidemiology and post-marketing surveillance research.

Amelia Filippelli has published 156 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Member of the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Endocrinology and referee of international peer review journals (European Journal of Pharmacology, Life Science, Journal of Biotechnology, Atherosclerosis).

She has been Member of the Scientific Committee of many national conferences and of many Medical Continuing Education events.
