Objectives
THE FRANÇAIS II POUR LA DIDACTIQUE ET LA PHILOLOGIE/LINGUA FRANCESE COURSE HAS THE OBJECTIVE OF PROVIDING ANALYSIS, UNDERSTANDING AND LINGUISTIC PRODUCTION TOOLS, AT AN ADVANCED B2 LEVEL OF THE FOUR SKILLS PROVIDED FOR BY THE COMMON EUROPEAN LANGUAGE REFERENCE FRAMEWORK.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL KNOW:
- THE DISCIPLINARY FOUNDATIONS OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE WITH THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE PREVIOUS LINGUISTIC ACQUISITION AND THE FUNCTIONAL PROGRESSION OF ITS GRAMMATICAL AND MORPHO-SYNTACTIC ELEMENTS.
- AUTOMATISMS THAT IMPLY THE REUSE OF PREVIOUSLY ASSIMILATED NOTIONS.
WILL UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONS BETWEEN:
- FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE.
- EXPRESSIVE STRATEGIES AND TEXT TYPES IN COMPLEX COMMUNICATIVE SITUATIONS.
- SECTORAL LANGUAGES AND LEXICAL SPECIFICITIES.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- TRANSLATING TEXTS FROM FRENCH TO ITALIAN (LITERARY TEXTS, CRITICAL ESSAYS, PRESS ARTICLES).
- EXAMINE DOCUMENTS CONTAINING THEMATIC LEXICON AND SECTORAL LANGUAGES.
- DEVELOP SYNTHESIS AND PROCESSING ACTIVITIES ON FRENCH CIVILIZATION ISSUES.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- ASSESS THE PECULIARITIES OF THE TEXT TYPES AND REFLECT ON SPECIFIC TOPICS TREATED THROUGH THE STUDY OF AUTHENTIC DOCUMENTS.
- DISCERN ASPECTS OF FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE AND LINGUISTIC-TEXT MECHANISMS; WILL HAVE ACQUIRED MASTERY OF CRITICAL ANALYSIS.
- SELECT RELEVANT CONTENT OF FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CIVILIZATION WITH A SPIRIT OF OBSERVATION.

- REPRESENT AND ILLUSTRATE - THROUGH TRADITIONAL MATERIALS AND VIRTUAL TOOLS - RESULTS OF RESEARCH, INSIGHTS OR OWN PROJECTS.

THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- USE TRADITIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHICAL TOOLS AND IT RESOURCES TO CARRY OUT SYNTHESIS ACTIVITIES AND IMPLEMENT COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES IN SPECIFIC AREAS.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INCLUDES LECTURES THAT PROPOSE ACTIVITIES IN WHICH COMPLEX SYNTACTIC MECHANISMS ARE PUT INTO PRACTICE TO ORGANIZE AND STRUCTURE A TEXT AND A SPEECH. THE ACTIVITIES ON THE LEXICON SERVE TO REACTIVATE THE PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE, THE GRAMMATICAL ONES AIM TO DEEPEN THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN FRENCH.
THE COURSE PROVIDES THE TOOLS FOR UNDERSTANDING AND PRODUCTION THROUGH SYNTHESIS SKILLS AND WRITTEN AND ORAL CRITICAL COMMENTARY. IN PARTICULAR, THE STUDY OF AUTHENTIC DOCUMENTS FAVORS THE KNOWLEDGE OF ARGUMENTS, POINTS OF VIEW, CONTRADICTORY ELEMENTS AND PROPOSES THE CONCEPTUAL PRINCIPLES NECESSARY TO PRODUCE ELABORATE ARGUMENTS.
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ACQUIRE COMPETENCE IN THE CHOICE OF LINGUISTIC STRATEGIES FOR AN IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AND WILL BE ABLE TO CONSOLIDATE THE CAPACITY FOR CRITICAL REFLECTION ON LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL CONTENTS.
A PART OF THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON THE STUDY OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TEXTS AND ON THE WORKING METHOD TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS NECESSARY FOR THE REALIZATION OF THE DIFFERENT EDITING TECHNIQUES (BIOGRAPHY, PRESENTATION, WRITTEN REPORT, READING SHEET).
THE CULTURAL ASPECTS WILL BE STUDIED STARTING FROM THE ANALYSIS OF AUTHENTIC DOCUMENTS AND REFLECTIONS ON SPECIFIC TOPICS WITH A SOCIOLOGICAL, HISTORICAL, PHILOSOPHICAL, ARTISTIC DIMENSION, THANKS TO SPECIALIZED TEXTS THAT ARE THE TOOLS FOR ANALYZING DIFFERENT ISSUES IN THEIR SOCIAL DIMENSION.

Verification of learning
THE EXAM AIMS TO ASSESS THE IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF COMPLEX LINGUISTIC MECHANISMS RELATED TO THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. IT CONSISTS OF THE ORAL EXAM AS FOLLOWS:
- VERIFICATION OF MORPHOSYNTACTIC AND LEXICAL KNOWLEDGE BELONGING TO SPECIALTY LANGUAGES;
- CONVERSATION ON THE TOPICS COVERED DURING THE LESSONS THAT THE STUDENT HAS CHOSEN TO STUDY INDEPENDENTLY;
- ABILITY TO CRITICALLY ANALYZE AUTHENTIC DOCUMENTS ON LINGUISTIC-TEXTUAL ASPECTS PECULIAR TO FRENCH.
FOR THOSE ATTENDING THE COURSE, THERE WILL BE IN ITINERE TESTS IN PLACE OF THE FINAL EXAM.
