Objectives
THE EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE, I.E. THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES AT THE END OF THE COURSE, REQUIRE STUDENTS TO HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNCTIONING OF SPANISH FROM A SEMASIOLOGICAL (FROM LANGUAGE TO IDEA) AND ONOMASIOLOGICAL (FROM IDEA TO LANGUAGE) POINT OF VIEW; TO KNOW THE MAIN TRENDS IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE AND THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF PRAGMATICS. BY THE END OF THE COURSE STUDENTS WILL HAVE ACQUIRED HOW TO USE SPANISH FLUENTLY IN THE VARIOUS SOCIAL AND ACADEMIC COMMUNICATIVE SITUATIONS, INCLUDING SPECIFIC (BUT NOT TECHNICAL) ONES, TO READ AND UNDERSTAND NON-SPECIALIST TEXTS (MOSTLY LITERARY AND JOURNALISTIC), TO UNDERSTAND AUTHENTIC ORAL TEXTS (RADIO, TELEVISION, CINEMA), TO EXPRESS ORALLY AND IN WRITING ON NON-SPECIALIST TOPICS. STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONSULT THE MAIN STUDY TOOLS AVAILABLE FOR SPANISH (GRAMMARS AND DICTIONARIES). THEY MUST ALSO HAVE THE COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS DESCRIBED IN LEVEL B2 OF THE EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES: THEY MUST BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND COMPLEX MESSAGES IN STANDARD SPANISH ON FAMILIAR TOPICS, EASILY FOLLOW TELEVISION PROGRAMMES OR MOVIES, FOLLOW AND PARTICIPATE IN DEBATES, UNDERSTAND CONTEMPORARY SPANISH PROSE. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO PRODUCE DETAILED TEXTS ON A WIDE VARIETY OF TOPICS OF INTEREST, PROVIDING REASONS THAT SUPPORT OR REJECT THAT MATTER. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A FLUID CONVERSATION WITH NATIVE SPEAKERS, TO PRESENT AND DEFEND THEIR POINT OF VIEW ON A TOPIC THEY KNOW.

AND CRITICAL REVIEW OF SOME OF THE MAIN GRAMMATICAL PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY FOREIGNERS (AND IN PARTICULAR ITALOPHONES) WHO STUDY SPANISH.
B) MODULE B: EXPLORATION OF THREE MAIN AXES OF SPANISH GRAMMAR (INFORMATION, THE ATTITUDES OF THE ENUNCIATOR AND THE DEGREE OF REFERENCE TO THE EXTRA-LINGUISTIC WORLD) AND ANALYSIS OF THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF PRAGMATICS IN ITS APPLICATION TO THE LEARNING/TEACHING OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS:
