WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMINATION WITH ONLY ONE GRADE. ATTENDING STUDENTS THE EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF TWO WRITTEN TESTS AND AN ORAL TEST WITH A SINGLE FINAL MARK. PASSING THE WRITTEN TESTS IS A PREREQUISITE FOR ADMISSION TO THE ORAL TEST. THE WRITTEN TESTS ARE DIVIDED INTO FOUR PARTS; FOR EACH OF THEM THE RELATIVE SCORE IN THIRTIETHS IS INDICATED IN BRACKETS. 1) ORAL COMPREHNSION, IN WHICH STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO LISTEN TO AN ORAL TEXT AND ANSWER QUESTIONS (8/30); 2) GUIDED WRITTEN PRODUCTION OF ABOUT 250 WORDS, IN WHICH STUDENTS ARE ASKED, FOR EXAMPLE, TO WRITE A LETTER OR CONTINUE A STORY (8/30); 3) TRANSLATION OF A DIALOGUE FROM ITALIAN TO SPANISH (10/30); 4) GRAMMAR EXERCISES (4/30). NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS THE EXAMINATION INCLUDES A FINAL WRITTEN TEST AND AN ORAL TEST WITH A SINGLE FINAL GRADE. PASSING THE WRITTEN TEST IS A PREREQUISITE FOR ADMISSION TO THE ORAL TEST. THE WRITTEN TEST HAS A 'FILTER' CONSISTING OF SHORT SENTENCES TO BE TRANSLATED FROM ITALIAN INTO SPANISH AND GRAMMAR EXERCISES (4/30). TO PASS THE FILTER, YOU MUST OBTAIN AT LEAST A MARK OF 2 (I.E. 50% CORRECT). THE TESTS OF THOSE WHO DO NOT PASS THE FILTER WILL NOT BE CORRECTED. THE REST OF THE WRITTEN TEST CONSISTS OF THREE PARTS: 1) ORAL COMPREHNSION, IN WHICH STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO LISTEN TO AN ORAL TEXT AND ANSWER QUESTIONS (8/30); 2) GUIDED WRITTEN PRODUCTION OF ABOUT 250 WORDS, IN WHICH STUDENTS ARE ASKED, FOR EXAMPLE, TO WRITE A LETTER OR CONTINUE A STORY (8/30); 3) TRANSLATION OF A DIALOGUE FROM ITALIAN TO SPANISH (10/30). STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT EXCEEDED 20% ABSENCES WILL BE CONSIDERED TO BE ATTENDING. ATTENDING AND NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS THE ORAL TEST CONSISTS OF A REVIEW AND COMMENTARY OF THE WRITTEN TESTS WITH QUESTIONS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE AWARENESS OF ONE'S OWN MISTAKES AND THE ABILITY TO SELF-CORRECT, A VOCABULARY TEST, A SHORT CONVERSATION THAT ALLOW TO CERTIFY THE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN A LEVEL B2 OF THE QCER METALINGUISTIC REFLECTION TEST AND LINGUISTIC AND METALINGUISTIC REFLECTION TEST ON COURSE CONTENT (AND, FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS ONLY, REFLECTION ON SELF-LEARNING ACTIVITIES). THE WRITTEN TEST IS VALID FOR ONE ACADEMIC YEAR. IF, FOR EXAMPLE, A STUDENT HAS PASSED THE WRITTEN TEST DURING THE SUMMER SESSION, HE CAN TAKE THE ORAL FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER SESSION OF THE NEXT YEAR (JULY INCLUDED). THE FINAL MARK, ASSIGNED IN THIRTIETHS, IS NOT THE ARITHMETICAL AVERAGE OF THE WRITTEN AND ORAL TESTS, BUT TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE VARIOUS TESTS, THE STUDENT'S KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENT OF THE COURSE AND HIS/HER ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE IN SPANISH.
