CURRENT POSITION:
From October 1, 2022, to present: Assistant Professor ( Art. 24, C.3-b, L. 240/10) in CHEM-08/A at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Salerno.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
2012: Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, with an experimental thesis in Pharmaceutical Technology, Socioeconomics, and Legislation (CHIM/09) titled "Technological and biological study of Citrus aurantium var. amara for potential nutraceutical use: composition and anti-edematous activity," Department of Pharmacy, University of Salerno.
2014:Second-Level Master’s Degree in Cosmetic Science and Technology (COSMHI), University of Salerno. An experimental thesis in Cosmetic Formulation Technology (CHIM/09) is titled "Formulation development of moisturizing and elasticizing emulsions: evaluation of in vitro stability and functional efficacy."
2019: Ph.D. in Drug Discovery and Development (CHIM/09), with a research project titled "Technologies for the development of health products based on upcycling of agro-food by-products," including a research stay in 2018 at CICECO, Aveiro Institute of Materials, Department of Chemistry, University of Aveiro, Portugal. Activities focused on the design and development of edible polymeric films containing functional plant extracts.

Research Scholarship, PON 01_01499 Hi-life Project (Health products from the Industry of Food), University of Salerno. Conducted research on "Formulation studies of plant matrices derived from agro-food by-products."
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:
Technologies for the recovery of bioactive molecules from renewable sources and microalgal biomass, aimed at their valorization into health-promoting products and food packaging.
Design and development of drug delivery systems (micro- and nanoparticles) for the delivery of drugs, phytocomplexes, and bio-based active molecules with critical solubility, bioavailability, and stability properties, targeting oral and topical administration.
Design and development of dermocosmetic products enriched with phytocomplexes derived from agro-food industry by-products and microalgal systems, focusing on assessing their physicochemical stability and cosmetic efficacy through in vitro and in vivo testing.
