Objectives
THE PURPOSE OF THIS COURSE IS TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO COMPARATIVE LITERATURE SEEN AS THE STUDY OF THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN DIFFERENT LITERARY TRADITIONS, EUROPEAN AND EXTRA-EUROPEAN, AND OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND OTHER ARTS.

THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON THE RECEPTION OF JAPANESE AESTETHICS IN WESTERN COUNTRIES, SINCE THE 2ND HALF OTH 19TH CENTURY.
