Objectives
TEACHING AIMS TO INTRODUCE THE STUDENT TO COMPARATIVE LITERATURE SEEN AS THE STUDY OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN DIFFERENT LITERARY TRADITIONS, AND OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND THE OTHER ARTS. STUDYING THE THEMES OF TRANSLATION, DISTRIBUTION AND RECEPTION OF LITERARY WORKS THROUGH TIME AND SPACE WILL CONSTITUTE AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT TO HELP THE STUDENT TO UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEX OF FACTORS DETERMINING THE GENESIS AND THE DISSEMINATION AND LUCK OF LITERARY TEXTS.

THE COURSE WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE ANALYSIS OF NOVELS AND DIARIES OF WESTERN WRITERS RELATED TO JAPANESE AESTETHICS AND CULTURE.
